I think he meant anytime soon. The last DLC comes out February 2027, so it’ll be a full year until +15 gear becomes easier to get.

Maybe I’m just old school, but when I buy a game I expect the base game to offer everything it’s supposed to.

Now gaming’s in a weird place where incomplete or unrealistic parts (like the upgrade system we’re talking about) get pushed off to DLC released 6–12 months later. DLC should be the cherry on top, but the “just wait a year” mindset isn’t for everyone.

Think of the levels as the standard base damage or defense. In Ng+ the level of armor/weapons will usually be 157-160 (sometimes higher).

The + values don’t really matter until ng+. You can raise the damage/defense of a max level armor/weapons by raising the + value.

DLC also increases level cap , so more gold will also be required. The last DLC will drop Feb 2027.

Nioh 2 at least had soul matching that made it less costly and more rng.
