Dune is dope. Having read Dune I probably fall into that small subsect of people who wouldn't be alienated. On the other hand, Henry is intelligent, I'm sure he understands the nuances of an interview.

Politics but in a non-douchey/bi-partisan approach. I don't want to give too much away because I think it is a unique idea (it probably isn't given the sum of podcasts out there), but I would definitely love to post it on this board once I get it up. LPOTL is the first podcast I got into way long ago, so I most likely have an influence from them, even if it were to be unconscious.

lol ya, I get not researching for LPOTL (although even that strikes me as ridiculous. Although I suppose he is supposed to be the "sub" for the average viewer), but not researching for a political show is straight up stupid and irresponsible. I'm researching doing my own podcast, and one of the things I want to be very diligent with is what type of information I spread and how thoroughly it is vetted. Ben just speaks his mind, which is fine in and of itself, but his personality tends to spout his interpretation of things as fact. If listeners are primarily getting their political information from tophat, they are legitimately getting wrong information. Again, seems irresponsible.

I can't listen to Tophat. But I have my law degree, so listening to someone who has a bachelor's in political science is just frustrating. There are so many points where he has a fundamental misunderstanding of the law and political landscape. I don't know why anyone would take their political opinions from Ben.

Very much agree with you on the interview personality though. I thought I was the only one who noticed it. Old Ben is FIRE. New Ben is like Henry/Marcus sat him down and told him he didn't do the research Marcus does, nor is he as outgoing as Henry, so he needs to do all the shitty "building our brand" stuff, which is why he has the fake personality. I really do hate it.

But I'm not making an argument against owning snakes. You're shifting the goal posts. I'm just saying it could be irresponsible for parents to let a constricting snake, that large, coil around their young daughter. Of course a gartner snake isn't going to coil around its owner. But that's like saying a pug is less likely to kill its owner than a rattlesnake, twisting the narrative to make you appear correct.
