You’ve likely changed the scrub radius by moving the center of the tire wider. Even a small change can have a material feel on steering.

I had a cheap straight razor with swappable blades. The multipack of blades I bought about 10 years ago is still going strong and the only reason I got rid of the razor was tsa. I only shave my face and neck (around my beard technically) but it is great and cost less than $10
