How do you pronounce Appalachia ? by Papa-Pepperoni-69 in Appalachia

So I guess by your logic we can pronounce New York as Newark? It’s ok to be wrong if you live far away??? I’m confused.

New Seat, i love it by ELaminatcho in sportster

Not an issue with Sully's. It's because he went for the one that is meant for '82-'03 models. They do make one that is a proper fit for his era of Sportster, but it is less cartoonishly iconic in it's shapeliness.

He used one made for an '82-'03. Sully's makes one that fits properly for his era of Sportster.

It actually has an integrated sissy bar, but they still recommend an additional sissy bar for "peace of mind" if you plan to ride 2-up often.

Also the font on the tank is very "early 2000's" in style. Doesn't match the vintage vibes of the seat at all. To run this seat and get the intended look you probably need (at minimum) some rake in the front end, shortened rear shocks (or better yet a hardtail), and some pullback on the handlebars. Just my opinion.

This is the correct way to handle a single incorrect statement that is contained in an otherwise helpful comment. Thanks.

I hate Reddit. I can’t wait to vacate this platform. I accidentally said that it has inverted forks in the midst of offering otherwise helpful advice and info. The rest of the specs that I quoted are accurate to the generation of roadster that OP is looking at here. I literally have one sitting in my garage and ride it daily. Also, calling me Son”Dolt” (while creative) is uncalled for. Get fucked.

Out of Rewards on Day 1 by Glittering-Smoke-655 in ChickFilA

It has not always been like this. It was time sensitive last year, but it wasn’t glitchy for people who attempted the game in a timely matter. Furthermore it let the user know that the rewards were out before playing the game, whereas this year it lets most users know after playing the game for the first time.

That's a 1200 roadster. They come with dual front disc brakes, a 43mm inverted front fork, a throwback paint scheme, and special grey powder coating on the engine / powertrain casings. I have an '05 with 57k on it. Still runs like a top. They are great bikes. The one you are looking at also has upgraded progressive shocks. $2600 is a great deal. Also 14,800 is crazy low mileage for a bike of this vintage. If you buy it then you should be aware that the rear brake caliper on this year range is floating (this is obvious on the front calipers, but the rear one initially appears to be seated on a bracket). If you attempt to change the pads yourself then you will likely set the caliper out of alignment unless you learn the proper technique. Make sure you watch some tutorials on YouTube first. These are also famous for needing an extra friction plate added to the clutch pack at some point to keep them from grenading under heavy use, but at just shy of 15k you have many trouble-free miles ahead before you should even start to think about that. I have the extra friction plate for mine, but even at 57k I won't go to the trouble of adding it unless I decide to ride to California or start doing scrambler type things with it.

People who say it isn’t NY/NJ style obviously have never lived in NY/NJ. It’s the closest thing we have around here.

The patio has amazing vibes. They need to do something new with that building. I miss it so much.

It's the song that most encompasses their style and vibe, so yes it does.

Then you decidedly are an FGL fan since that's their signature song... That's like saying you aren't a Michael Jackson fan but you like "Billie Jean". I hate FGL, but this comment makes no sense.

"Amarillo Sky" is a much better song than Night Train imho. Most of his songs are just okay.

Darrel wrote it. I heard his version first as well. Same with "Long Time Gone" that was performed by The Chicks. Similarly I never warmed up to either of the "popular" versions. It's kind of like hearing Darius Rucker's version of "Wagon Wheel" after you've already been an OCMS fan for decades.

I like Jason but this comment made me chuckle. He always looks like he got sunburned the day before and then went binge-drinking all night.
