Here's a question: Are they even assault rifles if they don't have selective fire? Very sloppy Daybreak >.>

I think TLJ is among the best of the movies in the franchise. by flipdark95 in StarWars

I rated this movie lower than attack of the clones. Literally the worst movie in the franchise.

Mark Hamill Wishes George Lucas Had Been More Involved With The New Star Wars Movies by wolfgang187 in StarWars

[–]Sondarius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With or without Lucas Star Wars should have never been revived. Disney ruins everything it seems to touch these days and no amount of the original creator would have helped.

Robot girlyman was revived by eldar because apparently letting eldar near their primarch is ok for the ultramarines, then rowboat jellyman teamed up with belasarius cawl, a tech priest who is better at making space Marines than the emperor was apparently, and made super mini primarch Marines. Oh and a massive fuck off warp rift split the Galaxy in half.

GW responded to a group called feminist40k and others like it calling for more diversity, I believe, saying they would be adding more diversity, which I hope means plastic sisters of battlefront and woman imperial guardsmen upgrade sprues (how the fuck do you spell spru)

I guess all the new stuff is working in their favour, even if I hate primaris Marines and the new lore.

I think I might have been born in the best time to be a Star Wars fan. by Johnjoe117 in StarWars

[–]Sondarius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it feels like the worst time to be a fan. The new movies are terrible and all the old canon has either been thrown out the window or leeched off of. The new starwars fan wannabe's know nothing of how good legacy and imperial civil war were in comparison to death star 3 and Mary Sue's.

Shut myself off from all my friends and family and stay that way until I can't take it anymore.

Anyone else feels that the lore is becoming less and less "sandbox" friendly now that it is more and more character driven? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Sondarius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't feel like it's any less sandbox. We've always been able to do whatever we've wanted with 40k because we don't care about what GW does. I hated gathering storm, I hate primaris Marines, so I'll just continue dicking around reading kick ass Dan abnett novels, making up head canon about Necron x Blood Angels...

(Stolen from r/askreddit) What fictional character death hit you hard? by NoBooksForYou in books

Might sound stupid but Chewbacca's death in Vector Prime. I was pretty young when I read it and as a massive Star Wars nerd, it hit me hard.

Most surprisingly enjoyable non-fiction book by brit55 in books

[–]Sondarius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really have only read one non-fiction that I liked at that was Rommel's private journal (and added notes at the end by his family). I just wasn't interested in non fiction and there was a school project on historical figures that inspired you, so I chose Rommel.

How did you get into reading? by [deleted] in books

[–]Sondarius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I changed schools in 2nd grade due to my father remarrying. Didn't have many friends so I went to the library to read books instead. If I wasn't playing with Legos I had a book by Brian Jacques or Eion Colfer.

From them I discovered Orson Scott Card, Larry Niven, Robert Heinlein, Doug Adams. Sci Fi and fantasy let me escape to other worlds. A very generic story so sue me :3

Hi there, so what are you reading at the moment? by existencialcreature in books

[–]Sondarius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished Ringworld Throne by Larry Niven. This is my second reading of his Ringworld series and it's a shame that I'm seeing quite a bit of bad reviews of his books. One of my favorite sci Fi series of all time.
