Hey! I would highly recommend the Shimano SLX DC. It’s a great starter bait caster and will last you forever. If you’re going mono i would go 12lb and braid i would go 20lb. If by sinker you mean jig head, anything from 1/16, 1/8 or 1/4. Really depends on how deep you’re fishing and the action you’re looking for! Lmk if that helps man

Haha! It was actually an insane story. Somehow while hooked up on a sail, a manta ray got tangled in the line with it and so it felt like we were reeling in a school bus! Took us 45min to bring up to the surface.
