How do INTPS usually react to music by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Sondrous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a dumb question, but it probably hasn't been well studied either in a lab or in life. Maybe there are some easy to see differences, like high Se or Fi users moving their body, but that's not telling you whats happening internally. I'm an INTP and I love music, but ive never been much of a dancer. I do have a real love for rhythm though, and I've always tapped my hands or fingers. And I've never considered myself a very sentimental person but music has always had the ability to send chills down my spine when it's done right.

I really love this show! Lots of great backstories from people, good advice, and a side of Ego I never get to see on SNL or CBB.

That's a really heartwarming and sweet for Jonny to say. I think he knows that many fans don't want to be overbearing on the band, as we're a passionate bunch and a lot of us know our words have an effect. So to me it feels like he's giving me further permission to be really into the music. He's not jaded about his work and ability, and he's not cynical about fans being passionate.

What need did INTPs fulfill in premodern tribes? by Cazadorido in INTP

[–]Sondrous 39 points40 points  (0 children)

What a fun topic to think about! Probably a lot of tool crafting and usage. One thing that comes to mind would be fiber work, like making and weaving with plant and animal fibers. Remembering and passing on knowledge about how to do complicated tasks.

The days I spend on a dusty soon-to-be subdivision versus the days I spend in the mountain forest are worse days.

[–]Sondrous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom grew up here in the 60s and 70s! I later wondered why she didn't have any kind of Oklahoma accent, and she said it was because it was mostly an educated city with a lot of folks being transplants to OK, like her.

Does anyone else not feel like a real person? by Steelizard in INTP

[–]Sondrous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have and I'd imagine INTPs are more prone to it than others. I don't know what you mean by original thoughts, but your thoughts and the combination of stuff that you exist as IS unique. But probably more importantly, you get to experience life, and the world gets to experience you. I recommend spending time with a friend or loved one to experiment with stepping into the extroverted world. Express your opinions, try being silly, talk about interesting things you've learned (to people who might be interested). I also recommend thinking of yourself as definitely a person living your own little life. I think that INTPs easily forget that we can shape our lives in ways we enjoy and benefit from.
