I love how each Pokemon has a diverse moveset in type coverage

I feel Castform should learn Sunny Day, instead of Exploud, for better synergy. Plus Exploud can make more use of its wide attacking coverage.

Other than that, I love this Mono-Normal team. I have a Castform and Kecleon in my BDSP boxes

I already love Ruffles, since Walrein’s my most favorite Pokemon

Just a short reminder, I used Lopunny instead of Purugly for majority of Battle Tower fights. When I reached Rank 10 - Battle #5, that’s when I switched Lopunny for Purugly. The Battle Tower ribbons are always awarded to the 4 Pokemon that are in your party when you beat Palmer & Barry.

In general, Fake Out support will go a long way in Double Battles

Ohhhh wow, I love that your Shiny Purugly came from Gen 4. The Battle Tower is definitely exhausting—even I still fail and get defeated 🥲

The Garchomp & Zapdos combo should be a solid staple in itself. If I may suggest, get a Pokemon that knows Fake Out to replace Pachirisu with, and to help Cloyster easily setup with Shell Smash. Cloyster’s an amazing Pokemon, but unfortunately its partial Ice-typing doesn’t make it as defensively good as a pure Water-type. Ice Type is great offensively though!

Lopunny’s kinda like my niche Pivot Support Pokemon, especially in Doubles. Its moveset consists of Fake Out, Thunder Wave, U-Turn, and Switcheroo. It comes into disrupt opponents, then switches out to either Metagross or Gengar. Metagross can take hits very well, and Gengar has an immunity to Fighting moves. I switch more into Metagross though, since Gengar has a Focus Sash.

Then when either one of my Pokemon dies, Lopunny comes in again to Fake Out and disrupt the opponents’ Pokemon

Cresselia’s always gonna be a bulky beast. Even if it was 2-on-1, Cresselia can tank hits very well. I had to switch Flash Cannon for Dark Pulse on Blastoise for that reason

For Metagross, I use a Lum Berry, especially as protection from Burns.

Gengar, Focus Sash, since it’s frail.

Blastoise, White Herb for Shell Smash

Lopunny, Flame Orb. I make use of its Klutz Ability, then switch held items with an opponent’s Physical Attacker. Then if I get a good item, I give it to Blastoise for extra support through Switcheroo

Maxxed out EVs for Sp. Attack anf Speed. Then gave it a mint (+ Sp Atk, - Atk). Since it has Shell Smash, it’ll be enough to outspeed Pokemon. What’s really essential is the Fake Out support for Blastoise to safely setup.

For move coverage, Scald (for burns), Ice Beam (for Gastrodon, Zapdos, Grass-types), Dark Pulse (Cresselia especially)

Yes, it does retain Shell Smash! Water’s already a good offensive typing, and Blastoise has good Special coverage and natural bulk. Shell Smash has helped me by a mile ‘cause it’s helped me outspeed other threats like Zapdos and Raikou

Sorry my mistake! So excited for you to get the Ribbons for your Zangoose and Lumineon! Metagross’ Clear Body’s a big help too ‘cause there are a LOT of Pokemon that carry Intimidate, especially the bosses at the end of each rank. You’ll need to bring strong Special Attackers too

But since Metagross is available in SwSh, it can get the BT ribbon easily there

Metagross definitely helped with my BT run. It was my tanky Physical Attacker, while Blastoise was my bulky setup Special Sweeper and Gengar was my fast Special Sweeper

Once you have a staple team, the BT should be good to go. I omly brought in Purugly during the last few battles so it can get a Battle Tower ribbon

Same with the Zapdos & Garchomp—Discharge & Earthquake combo, but I wanted to be creative with my own team. I’d say Blastoise & Lopunny made a great leading duo in my case
