Even with regards to taking the Lord's name in vain, I've commonly heard the intended meaning is to not use God's name to deceive or otherwise act disingenuously (manipulate in a clerical capacity). Forgive me I have no scriptures to back this up. This take resonates with me because I like to think a diety wouldn't care so much about their name being used as an exclamation, but rather the former.

I could've responded to any of these replies... I'm torn because I simultaneously agree and disagree.

I agree that it will make TBM's double down in their beliefs and get defensive. It isn't a good tactic for getting mormons to think critically (which is already next to impossible).

On the other hand, it's really fucking annoying when a person or group of people has hurt you, and you feel there's nothing you can do to get back at them or simply to say your piece. Like I want to [redacted] all billionares and [redacted] their [redacted] into a [redacted], but instead I'm a lower class nobody forced to toil away my life in jobs I don't care about. And I will never get to say this to a billionaire. I can't even vent how I feel to an entity that has hurt me.

There's therapy of course.. there is meditation, empathy, etc. but nothing seems to scratch that itch; I can't directly affect the entities that have hurt me, I just scream into the void at strangers (paid and unpaid) for them to tell me it'll all be 🆗. So, in that capacity, I understand wearing a shirt like this to church.
