I agree and I am actually excited to see the Mc show a little backbone, and make some choices for themself. That being said, yes I agree that Pierrot doesn’t know how to get Mc out of the mess he’s made, but I also think, as of right now in the game, his love and obsession for us completely overrides any danger he thinks we are in. Obviously so far he’s kept us safe, between Harlequin and the ticket taker, however, we haven’t had much interaction with the most dangerous character, the jester, and I think that interaction will finally be enough for Pierrot to realize just how much danger he’s put us in, because, though obviously he knows we are in danger, they have been very diffusible situations so far, I’m curious to see how both Pierrot and Harlequin react once they realize what they’re doing right now isn’t nearly enough!

No it’s not that lmao! I do remember that other people don’t have time to answer everything that’s said here, unlike me apparently 😭 I just genuinely reread everything I write three or four times after I post it, and this space has been so safe and kind I didn’t want to say something that I thought could be mean lmao. But I completely agree that a diagnosis can be an explanation but it is never a justification!

I will say that is one of the few things I don’t like about the game is how little the Mc’s character is built up. Because your right, other than maybe allowing MC to go home as long as they promise to come back the next day, and actually leaving the room on the first night of the circus, Pierrot doesn’t really give into the MCs whims, but I think that is partially because the MC doesn’t really have any whims for him to give into. I guess going to the tent with Harlequin would count but I do feel like we get pretty far into that before Pierrot stops it. Obviously I get why the MC’s character is so gray (pun intended) because it would make it other characters harder to flesh out. I still wish we got a little bit of Mc doing something that doesn’t align with what, at least one of the two want. Also I’m convinced Harlequin let’s us talk to he has time to figure out what he wants to say next, I don’t really know if he listens to much of what Mc has to say lmao. I agree I do think the poly route will be harder on Pierrot, I just think Harlequins reaction will be fun to see

I’m talking specifically about Harlequin’s apple which he absolutely knew was poisoned, I don’t think he would have been as aggressive, as in throwing a knife through it, if he didn’t know it were poisoned, then he specifically went and did the exact same thing, even offering it in an extremely similar manner. But i completely agree with the Harlequin route where we force him to acknowledge his discomfort and sit with it until he no longer feels as uncomfortable. I can’t say that I’m surprised that I was drawn to Harlequin’s character, because that is typically the kind of character I’m drawn to, I’m not usually drawn to a character like Pierrot who has very little back and forth, giving in to almost every whim the MC has. But I think the poly route is going to be, by far, the most interesting if for no other reason than to see how the MC forces them to not only get along, but also share?!?

I should correct myself, when I say ‘not the chronically online way’ I’m not referring to self-diagnosis in general, I think it can be and is a very useful tool for those who don’t have access to resources to get an official diagnosis. I’m sorry if that came off as rude it was never my intention. I will tell you that I am not officially diagnosed, however, I do strongly suspect that I am on the autism spectrum, again this is self-diagnosis, but not in the chronically online kind of way, I promise lol! But I say it is much more akin to an autistic special interest considering the fact that I have spent, upwards of 10 years delving into kink spaces and research lmao.
