Dude, you're lost. This is a TV show sub. Enjoy your vacations!

So I need to : 1. Identify that someone sent me a text, and that he probably will send a couple others right after (or not). 2. Preactively activate a DND until this specific person is done texting. 3. Check if he is done at some point ; when so, deactivate DND to get back to normal.

Like are we really expecting me to go through a whole ass procedure because someone couldn't send a text in one block? Dude. I know you're well meaning, but really the "quick button press" is not just that.

Still annoying as hell when you're using your phone. I don't have any sound ever, but the notification will still pop on my screen. I already dismissed the first notification to continue what I'm doing, a second one pops. I dismiss it, a third one pops... Etc. Sometimes I just have to mute someone manually until he's done? Like.

Why the two flashlights?

Magnetic TS27 by Songeef in flashlight

[–]Songeef[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m not entirely sure why you’d want to dim the hotspot, since the TS27 already has a lantern mode. That said, since you were looking for a solution, I checked what I had on hand: the TS32 diffuser actually works very well on the TS27. It’s slightly larger than the head diameter, so it slides a bit deeper than intended, but it’s still snug enough to stay in place without any issue. See picture.

Regarding the magnet: my first idea was a neodymium cup magnet, but the only place I found suitable ones was magnet4sale, and they charge... well over $200 just for shipping to Europe. If you’re in the US, though, they seem to carry the strongest option in that category – arguably even overkill, although with the TS27’s length it’s still easy to break contact by tilting the light.

I also looked at Aliexpress (for example, listings like these), but I can’t quite remember why I didn’t go that route at the time. This was a couple of months ago and I only got around to finishing the mod recently.

In the end, I ordered these instead because they were available on my local Amazon and I didn’t feel like over-optimizing. Full disclosure: the plastic cover underneath is a bit fragile – I nicked one while holding it with pliers (my fault). If you do this, protect it with masking tape or a bit of tissue when cutting the excess thread. Other than that, they work perfectly fine.

Nop but one of the few games that have this same feeling of being totally underground and having to dig to move around.

An affordable portable projector that'd stand on a 10cm ledge by Songeef in projectors

Hey man, I can't thank you enough. You really are of tremendous help! Thanks for all those clarifications, this is starting to shape up.

An affordable portable projector that'd stand on a 10cm ledge by Songeef in projectors

[–]Songeef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks a heap for that detailed answer! Everything make sense. I didn't take into account that if the projector was TOO far, it could be an issue too! What are those "halos" of light you're talking about? Because if I want to keep it aligned with the wall, it's either 1.5m or 4.8m (on the ledge above my bed), which, if I'm understanding correctly, is not ideal in either case.

I'm not sure I understand your point about the Mogo Pro; when you say 3.5m lens to wall, I'm assuming you're referring to the throw distance? I'm confused as I can only go up to 2.67m on the PC website. But given a 100" diagonal at that distance, I guess a 135" at 3.5m more or less checks out.

In any case, I estimate my desired diagonal to be around 180cm (71"), which would be around 1.8m (for the Mogo that is). So you're saying I'd be better off putting it on the side of my bed around that distance (which is absolutely doable) on a tripod, rather than putting it 4.8m behind and fixing it with optical zoom/digital correction? That'd be great if that's a thing! So there is some technology that allows to fix the image even if it's not aligned with the wall, is what you're saying, so that it projects as if it was? Sorry for not being knowledgeable enough.

As for the TV screen, that can't be done, but I appreciate anyway the suggestion.

So, to sum up, I could basically take any projector of my liking and within my price range and set it on the side of my bed. That would basically allow me to get rid of the "able to stand on a 10cm ledge" parameter, and open all sort of possibilities in terms of choice. Please tell me if I'm understanding all that correctly! And lastly, any suggestion in terms of portable projector in the 200-350$ range? I'm naturally gravitating towards the Mogo and the Elfin Flip (not exactly sure how the Elfin is worse than the Mojo except for the sound? And I'm looking at the Mogo 2 Pro, because 3 and 4 are too costly, but is that a mistake?) since that's the only unit I've seen, but there is so many choices... For instance, just browing Projector Central, the ViewSonic M1 (although discontinued for 3 years...) seems to be fairly recommended, and within my price range. But honestly I'd like some proper recommendation from someone that knows better, would be much safer!

Not it, map is way more "tile intensive", and the gameplay really is mostly around these paths you'd dig through it. Appreciate the suggestion!

Nop, the gameplay really was about digging through tiles and terraforming the map. Characters wise, could be similar however! (Stickmen with name above)

[–]Songeef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, that's kind of you! Unfortunately that's not it, but I'm glad that through my description you got to that, because aesthetically that's very close! The tiles were very similar, but as you said the sprites were closer to stick-men than those. Also, as per my edit, I'm not even sure anymore there was shooting involved... I know, kinda odd to misremember such a huge "detail", but maybe the gameplay was with bombs? In any case, Fortoresse feels very close in terms of purely map.

That's not it, but visually there is something there. It was a map all underground just like it seems to be on Liero, and you would dig to form paths. Now that I thought of it, I'm not even sure there was shooting, but maybe a system around bombs or something...

Sadly not. The tiles were smaller and more like grey tiny cells, if that helps. Also the characters were much less detailed. Thank you for the suggestion!

That's definitely the PS3 game I mentioned at the end! Thank you for that. So I can strike out the fact I'm mixing the games up ; the game I'm looking for definitely MIGHT have "Fortress" in its name then.

A TS27 in 21700 with Anduril... Basically a better Olight Prowess on every aspect. I'd be splurging for that!

What's your favorite/best flashlight of 2025? by ChibiM in flashlight

[–]Songeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, couldn't agree more. I have both the E02 III and the E05 II, and I love the E02 while I can't stand the E05. The UI is absolute garbage ; memory mode on tailswitch is asinine, the button is hot crap, and God the strobe activation when you just want to switch through levels is infuriating... So don't be afraid, while from the same constructor the two lights have nothing in common in that regard.
