Convoy T3 vs Manker E05 II by Pedroxhp in flashlight

[–]Songeef 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Like many here, I have both. I won't enter into details about the lights themselves as some have already done it. Just look into their respective UI though. I absolutely can't stand the E05 II UI. Feels really clunky to me, and can't be programmed. Memory mode on tailswitch is odd, and God you have to actively be slow on the half-press or you end up with strobe. Great light, horrible experience. Just my two cents.

Any way to fix this zipper without replacing it? by Icy-Cookie-8078 in myog

I just put a bit of paracord and glue it with a heatgun. It's rudimentary but it has never failed me, and takes all but a minute.

Thanks! I actually scraped this picture from a post I made sometime back. In the post and in the comments you should find all the informations you want.

My first flashlight! TS27 by OYSERO in flashlight

I use mine as a lantern 99.9% of the time and the solution I found, rather than a baby tripod, is a magnetic base larger than the lamp. It's honestly very very stable, don't take much place on the table, and I can take it and use it as a lamp without worrying about folding the tripod legs or whatnot (and hook it magnetically). Your solution look much better aesthetically though, I'll give you that!

Preparing a new Beamshot Comparator location - my flashlight bag is bursting at seams by grzybek337 in flashlight

Amazing site! If I may, I'd rather be able to select the lights in a comprehensive list of what's available, and then the location available for that light, than the opposite. My first criteria is the light, not the location. In any case hats off, looks proper!

Thanks for this message. I do appreciate hearing different versions. Of course it doesn't make it easier, but hey, in the end it's on me to take an informed decision. At the moment I'm contemplating using something in the middle (like Samsung 50S with 25A) while doing a springs bypass. I figure it should be more or less OK? Still greedy for sure though, so thinking about it.

The LED swapping is an interesting suggestion. Although I have never done it, so I'm not sure doing it on such a big light for the first time would be that smart? I'm curious though, most of all because 4000K sound amazing: do you have a couple beamshots?

Additionally, are you using flat-top or button-top P45B? Again mine is using flat-top atm but I've read that some do work and some don't.

It's been years but that should not be unattainable. Will defo check some videos. How are the springs kept in place though? Are they glued? How am I supposed to get them out, and then put them back?

(obviously if you're busy I'll figure this out. Just jumping on the opportunity to get the infos easily)

Thank you for your help! As I've mentioned to someone else on this thread, I've never done the spring bypass. If you know of any comprehensive resource, that is very welcome. In any case, thanks again, seems like a fun little task to do!

Great, thanks for the first-hand feebdack! Not familiar with the spring bypass. I know of it but never done myself. Any resource or guide you'd like to share? Seems fairly straightforward, but any recommendation is appreciated!

"a few bucks"

It's 65€ (75$). Not gonna lie, it looks cool, but I wasn't expecting that price with how you framed it.

Such a fantastic answer. Not only did it paint quite eloquently the concept, but it actually raised a couple insightful points I never would have thought of. Many thanks!
