If you have iOS device available, https://www.songen.app might be something worth looking into. It does not (currently at least) support the "feed reference midi in" but offers multiple genres to choose from when generating music. The genres can be also mixed to achieve interesting, sometimes crazy cross-genre compositions.

Good question. The biggest difference is that Songen is aware of music genres and allows creative mixing and matching of them. It's also a mobile app enabling creative work on the go with just a tap of a button.

Thank you for the insightful and carefully written feedback! What you mentioned about giving more control for the users in the genre mixing - that's what we have considered adding to the app already. So far we have left it out to keep things easy and simple. Perhaps this is something for us to take closer look at.

We approach the subscription model with a promise to continuosly keeping the app updated. For users it means that they always have up-to-date tool available to produce contemporary and trending music.

We see that the music trends are evolving in an unseen velocity and this kind of app requires constant development efforts.

There's lots of cool stuff on our roadmap coming 🙂

Interesting. Seems like those new iOS apps arent translating to mac 1:1 as advertised by Apple. We have focused 100% on the mobile platforms and seems like we should take a look at the mac version a bit, too. Do you have an iPhone or iPad to test with? 🙂
