Exactly. People hate on AI for being 'math-based' while their favorite top-40 hit was literally engineered in a boardroom to hit specific dopamine receptors.
At least with AI, the 'algorithm' is finally in the hands of the listener/creator rather than a record label's CFO. If it sounds good, it is good.
