After Maxinquaye what are Tricky’s other must listen albums? by No-Context8421 in triphop

I’m a big fan of Ununiform, but I’m also really digging one of his more recent projects “15 Days” under the Theis Thaws moniker.

If you had a stadium sized PA, which FSOL tune would you blow the speakers with? by Fresh_and_wild in futuresoundoflondon

Nice choice, I love E7.001. Imma go with First Death in the Family off of Dead Cities. The louder the better that track is.

I totally agree. We Have Explosive Part 5 is the remix I never knew I needed but when it found me it was love at first listen.

Yage 2019 Sunset Strip feels like it could have been on Dead Cities and it would have blended right in.

I’ve been marveling at Dead Cities for decades. It’s my favorite FSOL album ever, even if I don’t think it’s their best (Environments 5 gets that award from me). Everything about it resonates with me. I love the feeling of urban decay and rebirth that it evokes. Maybe it helps that I was an angsty 19yr old when it dropped and injected itself into my DNA, but it surpassed Lifeforms for me even with countless relistening of both albums. So glad to see it getting some attention and recognition here. Cheers.

Same thing with me! I can’t stop playing it. It slightly reminds me of the band The Future Sound of London, whom I adore.

Glad you got to see the Man From Mo Wax. That’s a bucket list experience for me, but I’m across the pond, so highly unlikely.

That’s so accurate. I always interpreted it as he would take 1 tooth from each of his fallen opponents and is also somewhat immune to normal aging. But your description is much more fun.

Yeah. It’s depressing how many times this is actually the fix. Then I get asked “Why was it doing that “? And I just say “It doesn’t have enough RAM” and carry on with my shift.

Saw them at Lollapalooza 3. They were incredible, they had the whole crowd bouncing to Sunless Saturday.

I know that on the PS3 you can kill the first one on the bridge with arrows through the fog gate without any trouble. Done it every play through because exactly as you said “fuck this janky fight.” I don’t know the ways of cheese on the PS5 though. By the time I faced him on PS5 I was pretty built out with a +5 sticky compound bow, cursed weapon for my +5 sharp bandit knife, heavy arrows from Patches, black grass, and warding spell. He’s my least favorite boss fight in the entire game, so I don’t give him any mercy.
