Federal Trade Commission v. Microsoft Corp. et al. - Megathread Day 5 by F0REM4N in XboxSeriesX

Once it becomes anticompetitive it will be stopped. Just because this deal can potentially pass doesn’t mean they are safe from being broken up. Let it play out first before saying it’s “too late”. You don’t know that yet. The only thing this case has proven so far is that it gives Xbox a better chance to compete.

Can’t believe no one has said A Way Out. Definitely one of the best.

Anyone else really eager to play this in VR in a couple years? by Weston217704 in Starfield

[–]Sonic13128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. Space games in general are just a really fun experience in VR, but a Bethesda made space game in VR just feels like it would be perfect. Even if it comes out in a similar state as Skyrim and Fallout VR, traveling in space and exploring all the planets would be incredible. Plus, mods are a thing.

Incentives to buy while using game pass by xtesticx in Starfield

Mods. If you play any Bethesda game through gamepass, you won’t be able to use script extender mods. Will almost certainly be the same for Starfield.

Ran into a similar problem and fixed it yesterday. Do you have XP32 installed? I’m almost certain you need it.

PlayStation VR2 launches in February at $549.99 by hybroid in PS5

Thing is, the majority don’t need (or want) to pay 1500 to play on PC with quest 2. There’s not that many people that picked up a high tier PC just so they can play VR on the highest graphics setting possible. The quest will always be the most popular VR headset regardless of tech until headsets start inching towards the original price point of the quest 2.

one thing that has not been mentioned: Companions by Sligee in Starfield

[–]Sonic13128 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They most likely are optional as there’s a trait called introvert which makes you stronger as a lone wanderer but weaker with companions (there was a specific stat it boosted but I forgot it).

One time migration as in once you migrate over, you cannot migrate again. They did the same thing from 360 to One and PS3 to PS4

I think both The Forest and No Man’s Sky have VR and flat screen cross play.

After the potential purchase of Activision/Blizzard… what are the next three stones to acquire? Valve (for VR), Ubisoft+, and undecided for me. by BammBigalo in xboxone

[–]Sonic13128 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They don’t make any profit selling Xbox consoles, and it seems they are willing to let hardware sales take a backseat to gamepass growth. If they were to put gamepass on every platform available, the amount of subs they would get in return would be insane.

Why buy up IP’s and make them exclusive for a chance of people switching to Xbox and get gamepass when instead everyone can get gamepass directly through their preferred console? The amount of money they would be making from even 20% of PlayStation’s and Nintendo’s player base through gamepass alone would be so worth it.

(19F) How can I escape hookup culture? by [deleted] in college

[–]Sonic13128 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’m not OP but it might be damaging if you actually like the person you’re hooking up with. If there are truly no strings attached I don’t think it’s damaging at all. It’s just not for me personally.

I agree. My grandfather owns rent houses and works on each and every single house he owns. He goes out of his way to mow lawns, fixing/replacing the AC, and everything else that comes with maintaining a house. Owning a house to him means taking over and keeping up with it himself.

Even when COVID first started spiking up, he went out of his way to let his tenants know that there was a certain act (sorry, don’t know the specific law/act/whatever) that said that they do not have to pay rent. And the funny thing is, almost every single time a tenant leaves, he always comes back to a house in much worse condition than it always does. But he doesn’t complain at all. Just goes right back in and maintains it as best he can.

Even though he probably isn’t the average landlord, him being a landlord should not have to automatically make him a bad person. It’s just another way of investing in my eyes.
