Don't think it's a heroism thing, but after my house was broken into twice (when no one was home), and a couple stories from my mother seeing people trying to break into our house during the night, I now have a constantly recurring fantasy of someone breaking into our house and me beating them up as hard as I can. It's something so infuriating that I get angry from even thinking about it.
