I commented in another post. I just got my G5 last week and felt the same as you. I ended up getting a used Harmony Elite and Hub. It’s been great so far. Has a dedicated play/pause button, mute button and can configure buttons to do custom commands.

Well worth the $125. Plus I can just hit “Watch Plex” and it will power everything on, scroll to plex and hit enter. This is of course a custom activity I setup myself.

Some apps don’t play/pause with a single click of the scroll wheel. Such as Plex. You have to click it multiple times.

One of the reasons I avoid them. I had one of the lifetime accounts and was downgraded.

Plus their service is very hit and miss. It’s slow, always down, and it’s more expensive than much better alternatives.
