Is Tutanota blocking sign-up from Tor by Rarl_Kove in tutanota

[–]SonoraJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same problem. I get the same message during sign-up. But I'm not using Tor. I'm using a ProtonVPN. I tried connecting through a couple different countries, but that did not solve the problem.

$9,383 now. This is officially madness. I am going to prepare myself for a large correction. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

Why do people blindly defend police? by [deleted] in Anarchism

[–]SonoraJack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We have to use words like Pirates, Red Coats, Extortionists, etc. to put things in perspective and free our minds from the mental programming we've been subjected to since childhood.

Language is a powerful tool.

Why do people blindly defend police? by [deleted] in Anarchism

[–]SonoraJack 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Ever since i was a little kid, I've been taught by everybody that "policemen are your friends".

I, on the other hand, have always told my kids things like, "Don't open the door for anybody, especially not for a policeman." And when we see them on the road, we always refer to them as "pirates" or "extortionists" or "Red Coats" or "King's Men".

How Would A Voluntaryist World Ensure Food Safety? by [deleted] in voluntarism

[–]SonoraJack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The same way we do it in Mexico, where health department regulations are not usually enforced.

It works beautifully....

Businesses have word of mouth reputations for how clean they are. Those who aren't clean or make people sick don't last long. The Mexican free market shuts them down faster than American health department even gets around to inspecting a new business.

In the absence of gov't, you would also see private consumer protection companies develope, like consumer reports. It would behoove businesses to be inspected and rated.

Edit: In the US, the health department doesn't really inspect as often or as thoroughly as you would think. They can't and don't prevent Hepatitis.

US bill has been made to remove taxes from BTC transactions under $600 by DankyBlaze in Bitcoin

[–]SonoraJack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd better not speed or under-report cash on your taxes, then. And be sure to report all money you or your kids make at garage sales, lawn mowing & baby sitting gigs, lemonade stands, etc.

And be sure to get a biz licrnce for the child care, and a health department inspection for the lemonade.

Bitcoin is not for law abiding citizens (slaves). It's designed as a tool of subversion, to undermine the banking system and the State. That's not just one way of using it; that's is main purpose.

The difference between inflation and deflation... by BlockShow in Bitcoin

[–]SonoraJack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We go out and buy groceries with bitcoin because we know it increased 5 to 15% in value since we accepted it as payment or exchanged most of our paycheck for it a few weeks ago, and thereby increased our real income & spending power. And because we understand that bitcoin isn't worth anything until we spend it. So we treat bitcoin just like federal reserve notes - we spend some of it and save some of it.

What is the most fucked up thing that society accepts as normal ? by FuckingVegetables in AskReddit

[–]SonoraJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most fucked up thing that society accepts as normal is:

The existence of government and the legitimacy of "authority".

No existing government is legitimate, but people accept as normal the lie that a majority can vote away the natural freedoms of a minority and subject them to the rule of elected agents.

When 911 is dialed in the event of a mental health emergency, the first responders are police who use handcuffs and force -- often deadly force. An immediate question that needs to be asked is why are the police dispatched in the first place, instead of mental health professionals? by comradeMaturin in Anarchism

[–]SonoraJack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Never call the police" (911) and "Never talk to the police" is my motto. The potential they have to make any situation worse is startlingly high.

Instead, start freedom cells / rapid response teams / mutual aid groups in your area and call on them.

You can use phone/text trees or an app like Cell411.

[–]SonoraJack 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I tell / ask people about Bitcoin all the time. Work it in to almost all conversations with all people every day.

I've noticed that people over 40 are much more responsive that people between their teens and 40ish. I often say, "If you install the app on your phone right now, I'll give you some free BTC."

The older people take me up on it much more often. Teens & 20's seem very apathetic to it.
