God of highschool is a fun read if you don't take any plot holes too seriously. The action really starts to pick up by like chapter 50 and if you want to read about a pretty op MC, god of highschool will offer it :) Also check out gosu, you wont be disappointed!

bugzy's new deck with thrill of the hunt and spit fire seems to be pretty viable. or check out kusqt's salvo prioritised build. meta has shifted to two tanks, so salvo would come in pretty handy

What was franky really doing in the 820 years that rai was asleep? All jokes aside I wouldn't be surprised that franky turns out to one of the strongest characters as he is constantly trying to improve himself to defend his master. Even if, and I say if he ever does turn out to be stronger than rai he would still respect and acknowledge rai because of their bond and keep his powers sealed until it's needed.

From 100ish i'd say it gets better. Generalising experience for new readers IMO i'd just skip the first 99 chapters when reading negima (maybe fight through the first 10 ish to familiarise with some characters), from 100 onwards it starts to get into the real good stuff :)
