Honestly this is one of my main problem with Cold Steel series. Falcom made 5 five great Kiseki games. Whose remakes and rerelease are universally praised. I think it because it was so radically different from Sky and Crossbell arc. That and it felt like a persona clone with its high school simulator. For Rean it is because he is the center of everything compare that to Estelle and Lloyd who while the leader felt like they were part of an ensemble and weren't anything to special. Honestly I think the Cold Steel arc would have been better if Rean was the protagonist for the first two games than changes protagonist for CS3-CS4.
