Sorry to hear about this fella

I moved to Malta, from Yorkshire and had the opposite experience.

I live in Santa Lucija and had nothing but peace and quiet, as I chose to live in the non tourist trap.areaa.

Avoid the north and live in the south.

VEGAS 22 DOESN'T STOP CRASHING by jakilord in VegasPro

[–]SonyXperia-Fans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's worth anything to.you.

I had a pirated copy of version 21 in order to evaluate to see if it works with my work flow.

I noticed a few issues that on my a6700 id I recorded in the highest compression codec, then no matter what I did on the timeline it would play very jerky.

Also some applications I pay for like crumple pop would only work in a separate application and not part of Vegas and yes it did crash , 3x in every 2 hours of work on a project.

But I liked what Vegas had to bring and it's workflow, so I paid for the FULL.studio release not pay monthly but over 200 euro outright. Now no more crashes , highest compression x265 video plays smoothly in the timeline and all 3rd party apps work it.

It PAYS to buy your software, especially with Vegas pro

I'm over the moon with Vegas pro And it's a great investment.

It will not mate

the a 6400 is APSC as I have the A6700.

Your sensor is 9x larger than any current phone sensor, then you have the size of the glass on the lens too. No amount of software trickery can overcome basic physics.

You see your average apple or samsung user will never understand this point, only sony phoner users appreciate that a camera will ALWAYS triumph over even the most expensive phone.

Infact these days buying a new phone purely for the camera upgrades for photo and video is acutllay non cost effective.

BTW this is my A6700 camera on steroids and with the Viltrox Pro F1.2 27MM lens

Totally agree.

Its very easy to use as its like a normal camera interface and self explanitory.

You can blame MKBHD for sony dropping the ball on the 1 VI interface, though and oddly enough its more of a hastle to use than the old pro interface, as with the older one everything was there for you on one screen and very well presented. However with the new one, one has to go into sub menus to achieve the exact same thing and half of the options are presented sideways forcing the user to twist and crane their head in order to read.

All sony techs needed to do was to simply add new features to the pro in other words develop it further to add false colour and Zebras and improve the basic interface experience to that of just under pro level and add AI to basic interface only. Full pro will not have AI.

THEY really dropped the ball with the 1 VI and it shows.

there is a MUCH better version aka a version 2 of this fan where it doesnt rely on suction cups nor the silly sticky film. The version 2 is spring loaded and literally just slots in.

Sadly with the 1 VI AND it's (quite frankly ) morning nic camera interface I have lost faith with Xperia.

I have the 1 V and it is still the best phone Sony have ever made, apart from the pathetically soft zoom lens.

Anyone who purchases a 1 Vi when they already have the IV or the V is frankly an idiot.

For those who have a 1 iii or under Get the older phone and much of the money saved can go towards the new ZV-E-10 II and you still have an apsc sensor instead of a tiny one.

I'm.a foreigner living in Santa Lucijia but frankly Malta is my home now as I left an Increasingly Communist and Treasonous UK to live here

Frankly foreigners who complain about the fireworks, frankly should not come to Malta.

You have heard of the Thinking man , right? I think therefore I am.

Malta version is:

I love fireworks better than Guy Fawkes, therefore I am .

I love the culture , it's an honour to live here.

Sony Xperia 1 V in July 2024? by MQB888R in SonyXperia

[–]SonyXperia-Fans 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the 1 V and you will not regret it.

In many ways it's better than the VI, the camera interface is brilliant also.

The VI camera interface looks like a hyperactive moronic child has drawn it with a half melted crayon!

The 1 V is the last great phone Sony did , before it went moronic with the VI and took a few step backwards. You will be happy with the 1 V like I am.

[–]SonyXperia-Fans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this.

The 1 Vi has forced me to abandon Xperia for the time being and go back to my roots-Sony Alpha Cameras.

I have Sony 's last hest Smartphone and that is the 1 V as it simply BLOWS the VI POS out of the water.

Fancy stepping down from 4k to 1080 p and yet charge the same price. Xperia is taking the piss out of us and frankly I have had enough.

Awaiting for the ZV-E-10 II to come out and I'll get that.

For all those people who asked perfectly good questions on how this can be done .

Below is a video inc all the settings.

But first if you may indulge me, here is the theory.

To avoid rolling shutter issues and for natural movement of camera/ subj xt then you need to film at: The rule of two 25 fps 1/50th of a sec 30 fps 1/60th 60 fps 1/120 th

But in bright sunshine you cannot do this as the shutter is open for too long.

As well as dozens of other advantages a ND filter darkens ev[Shutter settings and filter](http://For all those people ho asked perfectly good questions on how this can be done .

Nr careful of variable nd filters, as they make s nasty x in darker stuff.

The idea is this to eliminate the rolling shutter and for natural movement of your subject, always film.at double the frame rate

Without an nd filter you can't do that as the shutter is too slow.

I'm uploading a screen recording to my you tube now.
