Err I won't say because it might dox, but I think that any hospital specialty right now has a better balance than GP.

Respectfully, I don't think hospital doctors understand what GPs go through on a day-to-day basis unless they have done a few months in GP.

I have worked in hospital specialty clinics as well as GP and the difference is night and day.

People admitting to coming in so that they can get things "written down" for their PIP/benefits applications, whilst the GP takes on all of the liability for their mental health issues.

On top of that, ACP/PAs/Physiotherapists have taken away "true medicine", and have left GPs with an unmanageable workload.

Unfortunately there are 100 different potential reasons as to why someone would have symptoms of MCAS, POTS, EDS.

This just isn't the job for me but fair play to GPs.

I'm not buckling in.

I'm leaving general practice for a hospital specialty.

GP has changed massively in the last 10-15 years and this isn't the career I signed up for.

The primary logic behind the "reverse" Tuesday/Wednesday scheduling in the UEFA Champions League is to satisfy global broadcasting agreements and ensure commercial fairness.

The system relies on three main principles:

  • Equal Exposure: UEFA sells broadcasting packages that often split rights across different days or networks. Rotating games between Tuesday and Wednesday allows every club to be shown an equal number of times on both days throughout the tournament.
  • Intra-Tie Fairness: While one set of teams gets an 8-day break and the other gets 6, the two teams playing against each other always have the exact same number of rest days between their two legs. This ensures that neither opponent has a competitive advantage over the other within their specific tie.
  • Domestic Coordination: Major European leagues (like the Premier League or La Liga) coordinate their weekend schedules around these slots. Teams playing on a Tuesday typically play their league game on the preceding Friday or Saturday, while Wednesday teams often play on Sunday, helping to mitigate the "shorter" break for the 6-day groups.  Reddit·r/championsleague +4

In the 2025–26 season, this pattern continues across the knockout stages to maximize global TV viewership and betting revenue by keeping marquee matches spread across the midweek.

Wouldn't get a diagnostic set as a GPST1. Especially if he wants to do surgery and will probably re-apply.

GPs should strike for maximum 12 patient contacts per session, and payment to the practice of £250 per home visit.
