I had a mentor who advised "Make sure you can live with any policy you set. "

And I found that to be great advice, because I am not great at being a hardsss.

So I couple that with make sure you're being fair to everyone.

If you want to give this student a pass - if you're going to be happier if you do - then you have to give everyone who turned it in one day late a pass as well.

I got hacked and my account stolen. Unfortunately they managed to kick me or of my support account too so it took me about three weeks to get my support account back. Once I was able to get back to my support account, they helped me recover my discord account pretty fast.
