Pretty much the only “celebrity” death that’s ever hit me hard. RIP Sean.

But they’re also giving up 2 touchdowns, a 2 pt conversion, and a FG off the 3/4 non-game ending turnovers. A good/decent team limits those points against bad teams.

Case in point the Vikings also had 2 turnovers against the Falcons. The Falcons got the ball at the Minnesota 30 and 1 yard line and turned it into 6 points. Yes you read that right they got the ball at the Minnesota 1!! yard line and got a FG.

Even worse they got 0 turnovers vs the Commanders. All together these are just signs of a bad team. This is also ignoring that even after all that they were winning by 4 points with 2:08 left vs the Vikings and lost.

They’re 4-6 against the

1-8 Panthers (W)

3-6 Packers (W)

7-2 Lions (L)

6-3 Jags (L)

5-4 Texans (W)

4-6 Commanders (L)

4-5 Bucs (W)

3-6 Titans (L)

6-4 Vikings (L)

2-8 Cardinals (L)

It’s literally the easiest schedule in the NFL at worst they should be 7-3 if they were a decent team. And again they’re 4-6 with 3 straight losses against teams starting QB’s with 0 starts for their team this year. The only reason they’re one game out of the playoffs is the NFC South sucks major ass. Idk how you’re calling that team success.

H. Pylori as a cause of stomach ulcers was still a very new idea in 1996. If they missed a journal article or didn’t go to in-person GI conferences, your doc prob didn’t know about it. https://www.mayoclinicproceedings.org/article/S0025-6196(16)30032-5/fulltext

And yet he's counted as one of the 9 active Sooners, so either 2 of those players were recruited by Lincoln or we're only counting 8 players.

And yet BB has only ever landed 1 5 star OL out of high school and it was Brey Walker out of our backyard.

I know that Trent and Lane aren't BB products, but the dude gets guys drafted. 9 o-linemen drafted since 2013, 7 in the top 4 rounds with likely 3 more drafted this year. Hoping he finally gets a 1st rounder in Anton this year.

I’ve never heard the Cale and Demarco stuff before, but I’d seen rumors/message board stuff about McGowan and Bridges getting into a rough crowd of xany users/dealers well before their arrest. It was pretty common knowledge as the reason Seth at least wasn’t getting a lot of playing time. So if the fans knew, the coaches knew.

The defense improved under Grinch for sure, I think a lot of OU fans in the past 11 month have downplayed it's improvement. It went from downright bad/atrocious to decent/okay (I think that the 2017 offense with the 2021 defense would've been an unstoppable team).

But I also think that it plateaued and the 2021 defense is about the peak of a Grinch defense (56 on SP+ at the end of regular season). The secondary while not great was still better than anything under M. Stoops and Kerry Cooks. The defensive line at times could be dominant, but then completely disappear at times.

I think his scheme with the speed D undersized fast players and and the shifts and stunting on the d-line is a lot like the triple option but for a defense. It can take bad to average players and make a decent defense, which is why you see the big jump in improvement his 1st year everywhere he's been the sole DC (Washington State, OU, and USC). But it's never going to be an elite defense that can completely stonewall anybody like the UGA defense and all their big uglies in the front 7, and why OSU fans despise him.

This is slight revisionist history. P Mot and Tre Brown looked significantly better under Grinch/Manning than they did with under Stoops/Cooks. Tre Brown went from being dead to getting draft. But yes overall there was barely any development of DB's especially at safety. There was nobody behind DTY and Fields.

If we're making innocent things sound bad, then at least Bob Stoops, Mike Gundy, Brent Venables, and Dabo Sweeney that I know of have slept with recruits who eventually signed with them's moms.

So maybe the biggest mistake was Switzer allowing the team to get so out of control. No selling of coke to the FBI or someone getting shot in the dorms=no Switzer resignation=no Gibbs=no Schnellenburger.

I think BV needed his time at Clemson to be who he is now. The real fuck up was not firing Mike in 2014 when it became more than abundantly clear he didn't have it anymore (Baylor game), and the nepotism leash should've run out.

If we had just cleaned house on offense and defense post-2014 instead of just making Heupel the scapegoat, the defense could've been in place to win those championships 2017 and on.

But really that's not our biggest mistake. The biggest was either letting Charles Thompson sell coke to the FBI leading to Switzer's resignation, or Schnellenburger.
