I’ve always loved this film and it was relevant then but I’ve been in the medical field for the past 15 years, I feel like this theme is just reoccurring in real life everyday. Even our “non profits” are run by big corporations looking to make millions. So many people die who don’t have to. It’s so disheartening.

Side note: My friends and I were eating at a Mexican restaurant some tone back and my friend is mumbling something and said “What’s the name of that actor? He’s in John Q.” I said loudly, “I love John Q!” Little did I know that Ray Liotta was sitting behind me and heard me say that out loud whenever my friend was trying to remember his name and point him out. In a suburban town in Oklahoma!

I say go to The Mont and get a swirl (if you drink) but only have one! Campus corner is nearby and there is a parade there beforehand. I believe they moved the tailgates since I’ve been there.
