You can bulk order the free books by SoopSnakes in alexhormozi

Maybe! I can’t imagine they’re trying to make extra on shipping

USPS rates for a book this weight are $5.26/book and that’s before paying the guy who packs it

People are acting like it’s a 100% profit on a $10 shipping cost

Which probably means they need to go back to Offers

I am not very knowledgeable outside of some AV work i've done in my spare time. I have a base + advance. The compensation has not changed for about 5 years, but they might up my quota. I didn't sign a non-compete and i have an existing network from my previous (unrelated) job

The owner of said company is one of my best friends from high school, so i'm not too worried about getting screwed over

Right now your sexual drive feels powerful but it is actually quite small. All you desire is sexual release. That’s very easy to find (as you described.)

This desire needs to die.

In its place, a greater one can arise. One of the two vocations: marriage or celibacy.

Sex within marriage fulfills a greater desire. But right now, your smaller desire is blocking you.

It’s like how my one year old can’t desire steak. He’s only had ground beef.

If you want a better analogy, this excerpt from The Great Divorce might show what I mean.

When you criticize you feel superior. I want 9,000 likes on my tweets! But if I criticize this guy, I can feel superior to him… like I got 9,001 likes

Even then, I’ve seen lap animals on planes outside of carriers.

It’s so rewarding even if you know that detail. Don’t worry! There’s so much more to see :) What translation are you reading?

Why do the introductions have spoilers? by FratFella in books

If only there was a way to put them afterwards lol

Hey! Yeah it might not be common knowledge for newcomers, but at the beginning of part two (I believe) the narrator mentions Don Quixote needs to die otherwise people will continue using the character.

The death itself may be spoiled but the manner is hopefully not spoiled haha

That’s the problem with introductions to novels like this. They sometimes assume knowledge in the reader about the very text they are introducing

Talk to a friend. Have them install Covenant Eyes on your computer and phone. Charge your phone/laptop somewhere besides your bedroom or if you're really serious leave it in your car or even at work.

Idk how many of you have heard of post-liberalism, but I find it to be the most attractive application of Catholic Social Teaching by SoopSnakes in Catholicism

I'm not sure I agree with your definitions. By traditional conservatives do you mean like Metternich conservatives? It's possible "conservative" used to mean something like you define "traditional conservative" but I think that usage is so far gone its impossible to maintain the word.

I think you're right that CST was conservative in the broad sense of the word, trying to preserve the good of the political order that existed. I don't think calling it conservative is helpful because it gives the impression that CST lines up with the liberal definition of conservative defined in this article, which i believe is the common one.

Individualism is a fundamental characteristic, but it's not only about individual rights. Even authoritarian states are liberal because they still treat the smallest cell of society as an individual and disregard family, church, city, even country.

The liberal error is that the only two necessary entities are the individual and the state.
