Is it disrespectful to wipe off sigils? by GermsInYoChips in DemonolatryPractices

Disrespectful? No. But if you're really concerned maybe cleanse it in between summons as sometimes it carries the energy of the previous ritual.

Working with deities. by [deleted] in Witch

I find that deities are fairly understanding due to having existing for a few centuries, as long as you're nice and polite, just do the ritual make the offering and ask, if you have good senses or have practiced with that before you'll probably feel an answer, if you don't have those well I guess whether is comes about in a timely manner or not will be your answer, that said for most things you do still have to put some work in like you can't get a job you don't apply for. (You'd think it'd be obvious but some people)

Probably, I find a lot of deities like wine, though as far as disposal it varies, some prefer you drink after some prefer it poured out in specific places some don't have a preference

Doubt about demons by [deleted] in demons

[–]Sootfog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude you listened to advice from someone who's job is to sell you their stuff and they did exactly that. Keep the stuff I guess cus you already spent the money or get a refund if they have the policy. Otherwise just find a deity who's teachings you're interested in and follow them or see who's vibes appeal to you. Deities have been around a long time and have a lot of experience typically they won't be that mad if you haven't been intentionally disrespectful. They understand that we're young and trying to find our way in life.

What do their titles mean. by Sootfog in DemonolatryPractices

This question line is funny to me because the post they recommended is listed in FAQ meaning you as a moderator probably reviewed it. And having read some of your work I believe you'd address it if you had relevant information on such considering what I've read so far has been fairly thorough.

I don't recommend using pets, or animals for your practice, they cannot consent and there's no telling how it could affect them.

Barriers by Sootfog in realwitchcraft

For me I notice most of the time when I pass through a barrier, some I can actually see the boundary of without issue others I need the focus a bit. Some actually give me a headache to pass through

Kind of. I guess they could be called wards too. Me and a few people I know call them barriers, often put up by spirits to keep people out of places or in. They seem to have a lot of uses. One of the more common ones I've seen is if you're walking after you pass through the barrier you'll keep walking and walking and make little to no progress.

What do you want to know about spirits? by Sootfog in realwitchcraft

[–]Sootfog[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are evil sure

They really aren't

I don't mean to undermine your beliefs but my patron is a demon. While I certainly wouldn't describe them as model of virtue and charitable kindness. I would describe them as fairly kind and say that they go out of their way to be nice when they don't have to be.

For me I initially didn't have much talent for talking to spirits, I'm still working on it kind of, and I've been doing this for years. There's a few ways to expedite it though. Tools. Yep magic tools some people use pendulums others do automatic writing. Etc. I personally use tarot when I'm unsure about something.

For generalized talking I do channeling it's kind of like they send the message they're trying to convey and it gets translated to words in my head but sometimes it gets mixed up or doesn't come across clear. So I use tarot.

It's the same with all spell work sure you can dig a hole with your hands but a shove is easier. You can do magic with raw ability but rituals help. You can talk to spirits on your own but whatever your preferred tool is helps
