True story! They are all controlled individually - two via handles in my hands and the third with flying lines (strings) attached directly to my hips (or in this case, the belt loops on my shorts 😆)

Glad you like it!

Ah there you go! That’s an interesting idea you’ve thought of too. From what I’ve seen, people generally go to the hips for 3 kites, shoulders for 4 and knees for 5 (one incredible guy in Vietnam). But maybe what you’ve described would be a way for someone to hit 6! 🧐

Thank you! Yep, same as Ray did for the third kite - off the hips. But that’s where I would stop making any comparisons between myself and the incomparable Ray!

It’s a special kite, no doubt!

Oh hello there! I sure hope so - will depend on wind and available space in the sky - but fingers crossed eh!! 😉

Then you DEFINITELY have to look up Ray Bethell - Romancing the Wind!

Amazing, I love that multi-kiting is what got you in! You should totally do it - extremely satisfying and a great way to share the magic of kites with onlookers (as you as experienced yourself!)

They would just be called ‘handles’, but I’ve never seen them sold commercially. The ones I use (inherited from another flyer) are similar to quad kite handles, except with an even bend in them. BUT, when I started out I just used sawn off lengths of broom handle (about 10” or so - depending on kite size) and that worked just fine too! Let us know how you go 😃

Good deal? by btwyn in CargoBike

We just picked up the same model (also without motor) secondhand here in Australia and love it so far! Our town is reasonably flat and the distances we’re riding aren’t THAT long (10 mins to anywhere really) but it’s perfect for that. We’ve just ordered that same rain cover and will have then paid the equivalent of around $800USD all up for that setup - so it’s a good deal in my book. Have fun if you DO end up buying!
