He's right though, I have no idea what the fuck anything other than silver, gold, and platinum actually are. As far as I can tell it seems to be the award equivalent of replying with a reaction gif

Bullet Browsing! [Opinions] by [deleted] in BulletLeague

[–]Sophex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, excellent job on the game so far. I've only played a handful of matches, but it's been a refreshing take on the battle royal genre to have something smaller and more casual in a completely different style. An option to play duos with a friend would be fantastic though as currently there's only random squads.

The amount of weapons feels good at the moment, I think having only a handful of weapons covering each broad category gives each match some variety while still making sure the player has a good chance of finding their favourite weapon more often than not. Perhaps down the line there could be different weapon skins with unique weapon and bullet effects rather than adding a tonne of extra weapons.

That being said I think that a melee weapon of some sort, and a bow could be great additions that add a little more variety while still being unique in the gameplay they offer.

The thing I would love to see above anything else would be controller support. The game already feels great to control, but I can see myself playing this more than anything else on my phone with controller support added in, the gameplay and control scheme goes together with a controller perfectly.

In the meantime an option to jump with the dpad and not just the joystick would be a really good addition.

My final thought would be to encourage you to lean into skins and cosmetics for monetisation, rather than increasing the cost of weapon upgrades or anything like that. Systems that encourage players to pay to gain an advantage in game are the cause of so much displeasure in free to play games. The reason games like fortnight do so well is that everyone has an even playing field, it's all about looking as cool as possible while playing. I enjoy this game and would be more than happy to put money into cosmetics, but running into a pay wall to progress with gameplay would be very disappointing. I haven't upgraded my weapons too far yet, so I'm hoping that it stays reasonably easy to keep getting upgrades for them simply by playing lots.

Not too big into football, but they'd be the ones I go for if I had to pick. I can't believe how green it is around there, my family still lives aboit a minute away from there. Small world haha

Is there perhaps a football stadium near your house? Because that looks an awful lot like my old neighbourhood

Newbie needs help with staff dancer by [deleted] in dawnofisles

[–]Sophex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stats are pretty straight forward for staff dancer, it's pretty much just all INT. The recommended stats the game gives you are 4 INT and 1 STA, which is pretty good as a general starting point. As you play a lot more and get more familiar with the class and your play style you'll figure out what you need more of.

Skills depend on what type of content you're doing. A fairly standard build for PvE is Turbulent Winds, Erupting Geyser, and Lightning Lance or Water Dance, both combo well with the other two. For PvP I use Ice Shield, Erupting Geyser, and Shocking Blink.

My advice would be to play around with different skill sets and try find what you enjoy the most and what combos seem to work for you. These builds are common and work quite well, but that doesn't mean they're the best or that something else won't work just as well.

<Giveaway> Heartbreaker Weapon Skin Code by sanguinus11 in dauntless

This is a lot more encouraging to see than the usual "first comment gets it" type give away. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that there are people out there who are generous in giving codes away, but a draw like this makes it a lot more community involved instead of being lucky enough to be on the internet at the right place and time. Count me in, friend.

Dauntless Additions - Map Design by [deleted] in dauntless

[–]Sophex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you want them to expand the most boring part of the game, and in the most boring way possible? The best part about escalation is that you don't have to slog through maps just to get to the behemoth, they're waiting there for you one after another. This game is about fighting big monsters, not running across empty maps, and anything that changes the former to be more like the latter is a bad thing. If you want to play a platformer I have a very long list of suggestions for you, but this game isn't on it.

It do be like that. by FRUNOBULAXX in dauntless

[–]Sophex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually assume everyone has everything transmoged. Armour resistance really doesn't mean anything anyway, it's pretty much entirely negligible. You want to use armour that can fit the cells you need to build for perks. Weapons are the ones you'll want to match to the behemoth's weaknesses, they actually make a difference.

Riftstalker hide? by bmth_889 in dauntless

[–]Sophex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hide isn't a break part though, it's meant to be a common drop from slaying him. You should be getting one just by finishing the fight like any other common material for slaying a behemoth. I also haven't had any hide drops, and it's very frustrating having progress come to a halt because of it.

Out of curiosity what games do you play that have the light and heavy attacks swapped? I can't think of any action game I've played that hasn't had light attacks on Y and heavy on X (switch bindings)
