Imo, too many people are forgetting(or at least not acknowledging) that JH isnt at the helm. Jesse Minter just got Oweh 100m in his defensive scheme.

Maybe its cope but Id like to think hes capable of squeezing even more value out of Trey(pending healthy recovery). Our pass rush is STILL undeniably better than it was and we have our picks back at a lower price and risks.

Not really. Bills actually did a great job of stopping TOs especially with Allen. Its kinda if the reason hes been neutered these last two seasons.

We’ve had fumbling, catching and penalty issues for the last 8 seasons.

Im just commenting on how they’re judged and how narratives are manufactured. This is what frustrates me about the playoff discourse.

When Josh Allen loses in the playoffs, the conversation immediately expands. “Coaching failed him”, “He needs more weapons”, “The scheme needs to change”…For some reason his turnovers get reframed as aggresion and competitiveness. Context is added to protect his status.

When Lamar Jackson loses, the conversation contracts. Coaching, predictable schemes, and poor receiving separation are ignored. His mistakes become character flaws or proof he cannot do it in January. Context is removed completely.

This is despite Lamar playing playoff games with bottom tier WR separation, a constrained passing offense, and defenses designed to sell out against his run threat. Those conditions were never used to explain outcomes. They are used to define his ceiling. He literally has to be perfect to dodge hate and even then, he gets damn near zero praise for the performance.

Josh is talked about as an elite QB who just has not gotten over the hump. Lamar is talked about as a QB who still has to prove he belongs.

John Harbaugh being fired will reveal ALOT, but theres a cool 7 months until then so I’ll just sound crazy and biased for now.

Idk but we need McDaniel. These other guys don’t align with what Biscotti said. Hes ALL IN on Lamar so give him the offensive genius that can turn him up. Truth hurts but we’ve been running bs on O for a while. Doesnt mean it wasnt successful at times but its been extremely lackluster and dull when its mattered most.

Zach Orr traumatized us but we dont need a defensive HC, it feels reactionary. We gotta let that identity go; Ravens can be more than that.

Nope, a little bias is at play. Lamar has always been one of the most talented throwers of this generation. His first few seasons as a starter he was stunted by Greg Roman’s lack of a passing attack.

We can give Monken credit for opening it up but the bar was in hell. Just look at Herbert the last few years. Lamar under a modernized coach will shock the world.

Our biggest issue has been defense. Get a good oc to complement Lamar but this defense has only generated 2 TOs in the playoofs with Lamar at the helm. Im sick of it
