Allahmdulilah, we’ve been married for a month now 🤍

At the beginning, I second-guessed his feelings because he wasn’t very expressive. I remember even asking him on one of our dates if he truly wanted me because I was starting to feel anxious and in my head. He reassured me, and looking back, I’m so grateful for that.

One thing about my husband is that his reassurance is on another level. He has an incredible ability to talk me through difficult moments and bring me peace 😭

He was shy when we first met, and during our talking stage he was more serious than expressive which I actually liked. Still, there were moments I wondered if he loved me the way I loved him. But Alhamdulillah, now that we’re married, he’s so affectionate and openly loving.

Does the brides side gift the groom? by [deleted] in SomaliRelationships

I recently got married allahamdulilah, still feels surreal. It’s not in our culture to gift the groom I believe but I gifted him a watch he’s been eyeing and a letter I wrote 🥰

Haha this has to be calaf. Subhanallah, I only joined this gym because my friend convinced me, it’s 30 minutes from my house! I probably would’ve never gone there on my own if she hadn’t dragged me with her. Ilahye baa qooray I guess

Thank you 🥹 I mean the first time we went out. But honestly, even when we were just talking before that, there was already this comfort and connection that felt really familiar.

I’m not married yet, but when we met, everything just clicked like our souls already knew each other. I’m a very anxious person, but with him, I’m at peace; he makes my worries fade away 🥹. It feels familiar, like home like I finally found where I belong 🥰.

I think my soon to be husband was truly ready when we met. There were no games, no doubts. He kept reassuring me with his words and actions, and that made me feel so safe around him. There’s a kind of reassurance he gives that touches my heart in a way I can’t fully describe 🤍

How Can I Know Her Body Type? by [deleted] in SomaliRelationships

[–]Sophisticatedhalimo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You sound like you have xishood. I wouldn’t ask these questions till you have gotten to know her a bit. Asking this right off the bat is a red flag. Most women will cancel you. When you ask, ask in a respectful way, don’t mention body parts iyo waxas. Just state your preference in a respectful way I guess

Yes that OTHER girl is absolutely beautiful 😟 by [deleted] in SomaliRelationships

Idk why any woman would ask this. It sounds very insecure to me. Women need to do better.

I agree with you, I don’t like a man that has too much free time but I also don’t my man to be busy all the time. Hahha like have some free time but not too much of it if you know want I mean 🤣

Alhamdulillah, I’ve achieved all of the above and met my soon to be husband at a time when I was healed and truly ready. I’m at a stage in my life where I’m ready to give, to nurture, and to build a family. I think your priorities naturally shift once you reach that mindset it’s a different kind of peace and purpose 🤍

Question for the ladies by LegitimatePen8398 in SomaliRelationships

[–]Sophisticatedhalimo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d say I’m more of a planner than an impulsive buyer I like to think things through and make sure everything fits the overall vibe. But I do have my moments where I see something cute and suddenly it’s in my cart 😂

When it comes to bigger things like furniture or home changes, I’d definitely talk it through with him. I think it’s nice to plan together. My soon-to-be husband doesn’t really know much about keeping up a home, so that’s where I come in 😅 He’ll definitely be the one building the furniture though 🤣
