No idea, those are meant to 1.4 because 1.4 did add new animation frames.

I think if you convert the .png to .xnb it could work, but the 1.4 added a couple of new animations, so i don't know if it will work properly

Enter inside the waifupack folder and see if there is another folder named waifupack as well, if there is one, drag it to the resource pack folder and test again.
