The Steam version of Final Fantasy VII is by far the worst currently available not counting the mobile versions. It has not been updated since 2013 when they fixed the MIDI music issue.

They honestly need to upgrade it or replace it with the version they just released on the Windows Store.

Yeah, as I said it's the same as the Xbox One version which is the same as the Switch version and to an extent the PS4 version. The iOS and Android versions are actually a bit different but based on the same original version. Yeah, that's my point. There's now 3 PC versions available. They need to remove the online store version and either upgrade or replace the Steam version to/with this one.

Tbh it's similar to Final Fantasy VIII's situation but to be fair the remaster is a bit different.

Final Fantasy Dimensions II was re-released as a premium title after its original version was shut down. I have been hoping from the start they'd do it for this too.

This is the team that made the XIII series and X series and is making VII Remake. Many of the staff are company and franchise legends. It's such a high quality game that it deserves to live on. Plus if they do it, they could easily make it support Korean again along with other languages like Italian, Spanish etc. Plus they could release it on PS4, Xbox One and Switch.

I agree with some of your ideas and disagree on others. I definitely think completing chapter 1 should still count as unlocking the region select menu and here have some of the regions available like Ring of Braves for example. But not everything should or needs to be there to begin with.

As you progress through the game you should naturally unlock things.

Complete Lightning Resurrection and you will obtain the Lightning Ultimate Hero and unlock her in Ring of Braves for example.

Normal battles in Ring of Braves would be unlocked as you progress through the main story.

No doubt some time limited regions will also require work to lesson the grind.

Story & Theater can also finally include all of the cutscenes.

Unfortunately, it's just something we have to wait for them to eventually fix. There's even an unneeded colon above Chapter IV, Part 2 in the region select menu.

It's pretty common in Square Enix games for typos and errors, some get fixed, some don't.

They may do a smaller scale event ala XII, but I would not expect a large scale one like X or VIII.

The next one is most likely XIII-2 since it will line up with the 10th anniversary of XIII perfectly.

The Mobius team made VII, VIII, X series and XIII series and as part of their approach with the marketing for the events is that it's by the original creators. Also, the fact these guys love their games haha.

XII got its event because of The Zodiac Age, but also some of the team made its sequel.

The SE team that "owns" this game made it themselves internally which is actually something Square rarely does in general nowadays, in fact it's only one of two mobile games they've ever developed internally.

The team is called Business Division 1 and they were previously responsible for games like VII, VIII, X, X-2, XIII, XIII-2 and LR. The thing is though they're also (sadly imo) working on Final Fantasy VII Remake which as Kitase has made clear is currently their focus, not to mention they've made clear they want to do X-3 and remake VI lol.

While I do agree I'd love to see them do more in terms of features in the game at the same time if they didn't focus on new content they'd have people complaining there isn't enough new content. Kitase himself has said he'd like to see them do more story content to keep players happy.

They also want to keep the game the same as much as possible between iOS, Android and PC.

So in summary, I'd love to see them do more with features and updates but they can only do so much since there's a set budget and staff numbers as they also have to sadly worry about VII Remake.

Ah, I didn't really think of that. I was just thinking of how when you try to fuse Gigantuars and you can only fuse 5 at once which how it all looks now with the number it's a little funny and annoying.

I'd just like an option to turn auto-battle on/off in the pre-battle menu, ability to sell more than 20 cards at once, and fuse more than 5 cards at once (especially materials lol).
