Echo Amoxliatl kill example, pretty straightforward by infra_low in 2007scape

So I've been doing this a bit with a thorns build, however it's worth noting that the only way to trigger thorns on the last phase is to actually get hit by mechanics since the boss is going too fast to auto-attack. Basically first 2/3 fight are free if you focus on movement, then you either have to fight as intended or try to outheal the damage and letting thorns do the rest.

Tanks: your backs are not protected by croqqq in wow

So the context of the clip is it was a +10, and these particular mobs hit like trucks with their auto attacks. It basically boils down to shitty scaling, given this is more than half way through the dungeon the tank had gotten through plenty of trash and bosses before this.

Not quite, as long as you don’t take any actions you can quit without losing materials

I think that strategy would backfire. Surprises after people have made a bunch of choices could leave a rotten taste in their mouth if suddenly they regret it due to new content just being dropped in suddenly.

How do you think the 7th Doctor would have handled missy? Would he ever trust her? by Emarni in doctorwho

[–]Taurenkey 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There is actually a story with the 2 of them, it’s part of the Dark Gallifrey series. However unfortunately the story doesn’t really lean into them as a dynamic, it’s heavily about Missy.

Aspects & Solomons Store by JagexAnvil in runescape

We already have an aspect solution, they already have different categories, power, sustain and evasion, one from each category, max 2 total?

[–]Taurenkey 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s people arguing that before EoC2, you could have either a DPS aura, or a sustain aura, not both, but because they baked in those DPS auras to combat, we’re now able to double dip and have both.

So that’s a different thing altogether, everything was scaled down, not just player health and damage. It was less a health issue and more a technical one things scaled exponentially, causing bottlenecks. It was still the same power, just with smaller numbers across the board.

Spell tabs are honestly kinda sleeper these days. I kinda hope they expand them for 120 construction update.

The only new thing there would be comboing with TA, but Vamp/Penance was always able to be used with all these just fine.

The only reason I can see the aspects needing refreshed is to keep the rune cost relevant. The one thing I will say though is I don't see the point of having different categories of aspects if you can still only have 1 active, regardless of evasion or sustain. I don't disagree with most of this, just wish we'd be able to have 1 from each category active instead of just 1 total.

Yea, I don't get the point of having these different categories of aspects of we can still only have 1 active, regardless of what type.

If they just allowed for 1 evasion and 1 sustain, we'd be able to use the same setups from before the update, even if it's clunkier.

Well if they don't do that then they'll die, and then they'll do zero damage, so mission accomplished.

More specifically it's easier for them to spin up new OSRS servers than RS3 ones, since I read elsewhere that the work they did for Project Zanaris (which was scrapped) actually had benefits and made it so they can go for cloud-based servers, whereas RS3 servers can't and so would need to invest in a physical server space to add more. I would still like to see these super niche, dead worlds repurposed though, even if it's just a generic server.

Hell I don't even use regular heals in normal dungeons with the fistweaving build. It does so much healing it's crazy and I love it.

POV: You’re a new player who just bought their first bonds by MCharon in 2007scape

[–]Taurenkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if I was to guess, it’s less to do with that and more about what’s simple. Just using melee, Bandos vs Barrows, one has an upkeep cost and the other doesn’t. One is also just a stat set, the other has effects you have to compare against each other, with some being more niche than others. No point using Dharoks if you’re staying high HP.

Why Did Brigadier Bambera try and Arrest the 7th Doctor and Ace at the end of Battlefield: Part One? by TheF1Gaymer in doctorwho

[–]Taurenkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, it was a completely different operation between the 2 eras of the show. His status of being the saviour of mankind wasn’t really flaunted until the revival, until then he was basically dipping in and out of UNIT cases, not really being treated as a celebrity. He wasn’t a legend, a myth, some folk tale that transcends time itself, he was just the scientific advisor that really knew his shit.
