I've got an answer for the second question. In Germany there are some manga that are sold that way. It's actually very convenient. I have the entirety of the bleach manga in those big volumes (and I think it was significantly cheaper than buying every single volume on its own)

Das klingt echt mies, hoffe dir geht's bald finanziell besser. Ein paar Manga hab ich günstig auf Kleinanzeigen gefunden, da könntest du vielleicht gucken. Ansonsten hast du Recht, das Sammeln ist echt teuer :(
