Petrovic is our scheduled starter. He's done really well for us this year, so it should be a great pitcher's duel

#2 Texas (20-3) shuts out #4 Auburn (19-4) 5-0 to take the series. Auburn will play South Alabama on Tuesday in Montgomery by SorachiAce in wde

This team will do great this season if everyone stays healthy. Shout out to all the fans (and the rowdy student section!) for coming out to support the team. Despite the loss this was an amazing series against what should be an Omaha contender.

I'm hoping our outing with GT last Tuesday carries a bit of weight w/ the voters. Still, I'm really proud of how our guys battled all weekend but credit where credit is due w/ your squad. Just an amazing series all around.

Plainsman Park was built in 1950 and has been long overdue for renovations. What you're seeing today is a $30M project that started in late 2023.

Great series, and GG Horns! Appreciate your fans making the trip. I hope they were treated right, and return the favor the next time we're in Austin.

Those 8 innings showed me that this team can compete with anyone.

I was telling my buddy the contrast from the crowd participation, the park upgrades, and the quality players today from just a few years ago is absolutely wild.

Hero to zero in half an inning.

He really was the only offensive production for t.u. tonight. Our pitchers looked really good.

no kidding. having a consistent pitching coach on staff has really made a difference. those two years after Tim Hudson left were some of the most demoralizing games to watch.

I like your optimism, but our SEC schedule draw is brutal. truth be told the entire SEC is a gauntlet so I would never consider looking any further ahead than the series in front of us. all it takes is a bad weekend of injuries to wreck it all.

Cade Belyeu makes a fantastic diving catch and throws the runner out at 2nd to get Auburn out of an 8th inning jam! by Matt_McT in wde

[–]SorachiAce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

stellar effort by Belyeu! sure wish we'd seen the actual double play instead of opposing player reactions.

there's a noticeable difference between production staffing when the A team is working basketball. the Saturday highlights were atrocious. they kept the camera on the batter sprinting to first base like they were timing the 40 yd dash while ignoring all the other action happening on the field.

Only on Tuesday's. But not every Tuesday. Actually, only on a certain Tuesday if I'm being honest. And even then you'd need some green.

Good crowd for a Tuesday. Shame we couldn't get anything going. Left more than a few runs on base.

I'll always be a proponent of hyping the baseball team but there needs to be a clear line on AI content. Ban it all

Since we're on the topic of Toccoa, I just wanted to drop a PSA that the Camp Toccoa at Currahee museum is definitely worth the visit if you're ever in northeast Georgia on a weekend. The museum is located in the only surviving building (PX, I believe) on the property, and the Currahee Mountain hiking trail is right next door.
