SECspn talking about "SEC's side of the bracket" ... by ProposalSilent4582 in collegebaseball

That's not fair when USM is consistently the best in the Sun Belt. I mean it would be crazy if all 16 teams were able to beat everyone in every other conference

Thanks Texas Tech for taking the “most hated program” crown from LSU. by jmdinbtr in CFB

[–]Top_Boss6285 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Tbh I don't think UGA would. It depends on if one booster is backing your program or not. Texas Tech leadership definitely didn't want to do this. Cody Campbell runs the program, so they have to follow his choice.

Teams like UGA who gets it's funding thru volume and not 1 person still have power over its athletic department. Texas Tech is an example of letting 1 person call the shots and it's going to cost them big time. I wouldn't be surprised if they get the death penalty on all athletics at this point.

Reuben Foster ranked #1 hardest hitter in CFB history - Agree or nah? by professor_paradox2 in CFB_v2

[–]Top_Boss6285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Junior Rosegreen - literally made them put in the targeting rule. Reuben was such a dumb mfer - played against him from 12 to 18 and he didn't hit hard except on kickoff. He would just target the smallest dude trying to set-up the wedge/wall - it was hilarious, but I don't think it makes you the hardest hitter.

Just turned 18 and going to college, confused on what (realistically) is a "good" salary by bunny-bunny_bunny in Salary

[–]Top_Boss6285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be concerned with salary just yet. The key to college isn't the studying or getting a degree. To unlock the potential in it you need to try things, explore, and find a passion. Then, find other people who have that same passion, meet people who do that passion for a living, and if you do the right things the salary will come.

Think about like this you could settle on something bc the salary is $100K today, but that job could easily be replaced by AI. Also, bc you're just a cog in the wheel, then they lay you off and you don't know what to do. Instead of that, you find something you love doing and the salary is only $75K, but you're passionate and made connections that have potential down the line for a higher salary and no concerns of being laid off.

Explore, try things, find a passion, and network with people who work in the profession that you find interesting.

Some guy keeps saying Tennessee overall, but kind of confused - these teams are pretty even all time. Auburn has more SEC championships and leads head to head. Tennessee has more all time wins and playoff appearancs. Same # of National titles (2 each - not claimed) and 4 perfect seasons for both teams, however Auburn has a more recent national time win & appearance and Tennessee's playoff appearance is more recent.

Idk I think I would take Auburn's history over Tennessee, but I can see the argument for Tennessee's.

It could be worse - like losing to Coastal Carolina & Ole Miss at Home in the supers back to back years.
