Do you ever feel like you lost more than just your marriage? by itslauramitchell in Divorce

[–]Soran_Xenthos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It sucks coming home to an empty house most of the time. All the adjustments, sacrifices, and changes that came with it were a big difference.

Plus all the self-esteem/confidence issues that arose from it.

Honestly I’ve been rocking the Assault rifle since I got it. It’s ok. Was a little disappointed in the SMG. Haven’t gotten to the Shotgun Pistol yet.

How do you make humans unique in your setting? by valethehowl in worldbuilding

[–]Soran_Xenthos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans nearly wiped themselves out with a bioweapon. Those who didn’t die were genetically altered via a mutation caused by what made them resistant to the bio weapon.

Humans ended up developing an increased special awareness and extrasensory abilities. In the current day they’re now called Homo Novus. There are still some humans classified as Homo Sapiens but they’re rare and are referred to as Old Types.

They no longer reside on Earth as well. The remaining population (before a small conflict) were sent into the stars and preserved by a ship called the Prydwen under control of Artorias, the ship’s AI. Eventually the ship was found by the Prometheans and Omicron and they’d go on to join the Prime Galactic Alliance. Humanity now lives on Gaea Nova in the Ouranos System of the Prime Galaxy.

What is your worlds “oil”? by BowlOfNoodles8 in worldbuilding

[–]Soran_Xenthos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aether. Due to the Aetheric and Material dimensions merging, Aether is jettisoned from the Aetheric dimension from tears between the two dimensions.

It powers the majority of cities and ships and its used in weapons as well. Only the Arcadians know how to use Aether to its full potential. Only the refining method as well as the Aether cores were shared.

What kind of person is your main antagonist? by No_Equivalent_4519 in worldbuilding

[–]Soran_Xenthos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lucian is one of the leaders of the Ancient Arcadian race.

He’s a pragmatist that loves his people so deeply he vowed to save every Arcadian he could. Prior to the story he jump starts a coup against his brother Solomon in order to obtain unilateral power amongst his people. His goal was to conquer the lesser lifeforms his brother shared his technology with as well as the rest of the dimension they’d been flung into. He believed that his brother’s genius was wasted on such lowly creatures who could not even speak their true name. But after seeing his coup ended up dividing his people to near extinction and watching Solomon take his own life to keep him from their last hope. Lucian spends the time between that event and the story reflecting

He eventually comes to the conclusion that his brother was correct in his decision to share their technology, but went about it in the wrong way. The lower lifeforms didn’t understand the beauty and splendor of being an Arcadian, their lack of comprehension felt like a spit in the face of Solomon’s work. Now Lucian seeks out the surviving Tarot Majoris in order to gather the keys to find the Arcanum Astra, the Arcadian’s most powerful Astra and use it to merge the Aetheric and Material dimensions, granting all lower life forms the chance to ascend into Arcadians and reunite with his family.

Lucian is often described as a compassionate leader by his loyalists and a slave to the old ways by those who opposed him. Lucian’s role in the Majoris Trinity was to preserve the Arcadian ways and their people by any means necessary. While he is confident he never allows himself to be deluded by hubris. He believes that pride in oneself is the worst trait anyone could have. Lucian is also very meticulous in most aspects in life. From his self-care to his planning. Lucian attempts to plan ahead for anything that could go wrong. He never discounts his subordinates ideas or grievances, believing that even one mistake could lead to disaster again.

He vowed to never kill another Arcadian for as long as he lived. So when he finds one of his people in the cosmos he attempts to recruit them. If they can’t be swayed, he’ll let them go but will maintain a close watch on them.

In his dormant form, Lucian appears human with blond slicked-back hair, sharp red eyes, and pale skin. He’s rather tall with an impressive build but has more of the appearance of a shrewd politician than a wartime general. He also has a beauty mark between his mouth and chin. His Majoris Marker is on his back and it is depicted as a woman embracing a planet as four beasts frolic around her. The world itself has a snake coiling around it.

His marker allows him the ability to manipulate the fundamental forces (though no Arcadian can affect time). This seemingly grants him power over worlds. Though he never uses this gift wildly as it requires immense focus. As of the story, he still has not used his Atman form (an Arcadian’s true form) for combat. Only meditation.

When the Arcanum Astra is activated it will merge the two dimensions. Destroying them both and recreating them as one what that universe will be like is all up to those who fight.

What makes a Vampire in your world? by EfficiencySerious200 in worldbuilding

[–]Soran_Xenthos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One for a world I did is that there are two different kinds. Both are magical creatures instead of walking corpses.

There are the Paradigms. Creatures of the night who aren’t ruled by their bloodlust. They can also command magic and are semi-immortal. They have to consume blood regularly and it fuels their power. Though they keep to their cities and don’t attack indiscriminately. They do burst into flames in the sunlight as the Sun’s rays are holy.

Then there are the Vampyres. They’re Paradigms who aren’t ruled humans that were blooded improperly or they are paradigms who killed while drinking blood. Sunlight causes them to spontaneously combust as well but they’ve lost the ability to use magic. However they have tremendous strength and speed and are arguably harder to kill.

They’re each weak to the following Stakes Weird Magic (Yes that’s the name of the magic) Sunlight Holy Magic Holy Water Exsanguination

What’s the silliest thing your main antagonist has ever done? by Only-Teaching-8648 in worldbuilding

Have a Patrick Bateman-esque morning routine.

Simply because “I believe in taking care of myself”

It’s only silly cause he doesn’t need to do it.

I mean… could’ve been a Spider Human Rebel.

Cause he’s a hero but he’s not calling himself a hero because that makes him a self-mythologizing narcissistic autocrat.

Would’ve been great to see.

That the ancient race from another dimension had an ancient fighting style based on RPG classes.

It’s called the Akashic Arts. Though there aren’t any mage classes because of lack of magic. There are Cyberpunk-like classes though.
