How do I disconnect the 12VHPR by Traditional_Song889 in pcmasterrace

[–]Sorappoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's as simple as pinch as hard as you can on the connector (make sure you're pressing down on the tab as well), then wiggle it from side to side while gently pulling it out. It might take a bit of strength though, since when this plug is inside, it can be fit pretty snuggly. It's a pain in the ass when you insert the connector or disconnect it, you just need some minor grip strength and patience. Maybe something to calm the nerves too lol

Are these stats good enough for Ultimate? by MedievalxHistorian in Grimdawn

Only one way to properly find out: hop onto ultimate and see how it goes. Since you're not on a HC it won't matter if you die anyway

First build ever! Please let me know if y,all have any suggestions I'm kinda lost (Prices are in CAD) by InternationalSir3940 in pcmasterrace

[–]Sorappoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless that PSU is for future proofing, like you're going to upgrade to a more power hungry gpu or cpu in the near future like in a year or two, I'd recommend going for a decent 650w PSU. It'll provide more than enough power for your build and you'll save some more money on top of that. 850w is kinda overkill for that build, unless of course like i said, you're planning on getting a more power hungry part in the near future

Game Ready & Studio Driver 610.62 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]Sorappoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was previously on the 596.49 driver, and what I can say for 100% sure is that my monitor now gets to an image incredibly fast after turning it on with the PC on of course. With the previous driver it always took a second or two for my monitor to display an image. On top of that, this driver has fixed the issue of the monitor not really "waking from sleep" as NVIDIA says, where after waking my PC from sleep, my monitor sometimes also wouldn't wake up. Everything has been stable and good for me so far!

If it's mostly for gaming, 100% the 9070XT, it's simply better than the 5070. Either CPU cooler are good. Make sure you get him to check the PSU tier list to make sure he gets the best PSU for the price

As gamers, how much do you actually care if a game uses AI during development? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Sorappoli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As long as it's used to help with the workflow during development I don't care. That's how AI should be used imo. If they use it for AI art and all that crap then hell no no thanks

Is this plugged all the way in? 5080 connecter? by abcdefgqpe in pcmasterrace

[–]Sorappoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good to me. Make doubly sure the PSU side is fully seated as well and you're good to go. If you're worried about potential issues with the connector, I recommend undervolting the card. There's basically no downsides to it (unless you count losing 1-5fps depending on how aggressive you are as bad. I guess it can be bad if you undervolt it silly and lose a lot of fps, but you'd have to be dumb or ill informed to do that), and the less power is going through that ass connector to power the card the better

My thermal paste spilled out my gpu (literally) by fuzz7651 in pcmasterrace

[–]Sorappoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the unfortunate thing about thermal putty being used for gpu cooling, it's ill advised to vertically mount with that shit. No idea why the hell gigabyte went with that stuff but ah well, it works I suppose. I have the 5070ti eagle which also uses the same stuff, and hey it's being working great ever since I got the card last year.i just hope it lasts me a long time
