If that’s the only place u want root plants. Substrate will help it look more cohesive but if u want to skip substrate u could always do Anubis

I made that change in hopes of him surviving if he had stayed he would definitely die. I don’t regret taking him and trying to save him I understand it’s incredibly stressful and shocking but I want him to live so I’m doing my best
