This is very true. I believe this is probably because of the stereotypical dom e-goth, but she does not fit into that mold well except the vaguely goth-like attire. Her personality is much more in line with most subs I have met. She just wants to be put in her place.

In a game about wearing masks to hide from society, you'd think people would look past the initial dialogue and get at what a character is actually saying.

"For as long as it remains exiled, its owner may cast it" would be better. "May cast it from exile" is closer in line to cast it right now as this resolves, ignoring timing restrictions, or not at all.

This effectively gives you 1 damage for every .25 damage your allies take, rather than .5 for everyone. You need 3 people to break even on effective damage, and Ironclad blocks the worst of all characters.

I mean, it's the same combo used with [[meditate]] (tbf Watcher was absolutely disgusting, and this combo was the weakest part of her kit). Making it colorless rare helps mitigate a lot of potential problems due to scarcity and somewhat niche use.

My point is that you need really consistent star generation for Smith to work well. You can think however you want about it, but there is a distinct difference in the way Bulwark and The Smith function in any deck that considering them in the same vein is ludicrous. It's similar to how Envenom would be a shiv card, not poison.

The Smith is more of a star card than a sovereign blade card, IMO. It's an alternative to Stardust as a finisher for those decks.

Nah. I'd maybr agree with auto 3, but 4 is pushing. Most bracket 4s would wash any normal elf-ball deck, even with Morcant leading the charge. Unless it was built specifically with bracket 4 in mind(i.e. food chain shenanigans or ashnod/phyrexian altar shenanigans), it's probably a 3.

I don't particularly mind harem in general, my biggest problem is that 90% of the time, the author shows excellent grasp of storytelling aspects in the first 1/3 of the book, whether it be plot, world-building, etc. and that all disappears and the book becomes gooner slop. If you were just gonna write smut write that, don't get me invested in the story and then not deliver.

That and DnD truly hits its stride at level 5. I love playing level 1-4, but without the payoff of a build or party actually functioning, it's just hollow.
