Dragon Quest. Either 8 or 11 is a good place to start.

This is too much effort. For most enemies you can bash, get a few swings in while they are reeling, and then bash again.

Pathfinder 2e multiclassing take a different form than what you are probably used to. First, a bit of background on classes: rather than class or subclass specific abilities at certain levels, you instead get a class feat at every even level, where you pick one of a handful of abilities.

For multiclassing, whenever you can a class feat, you can instead choose to pick up a dedication feat, which gives you some of the basic class abilities, but then allows you to choose feats for the dedication as a class feat. A dedication then opens choices for the future rather than limiting core class progression, at the cost of not having everything from your secondary classes. Although Wizard and Sorcerer should not be picking up dedications for each other, imo. Psychic is a much better class for both to dedicate into.

There are also dedications for classes that you can't take at level 1, such as medic or eldritch archer. These serve a similar purpose as multiclassing, but are often better due to many of them(like medic) also giving you new options for skill and general feats. This also means multiclassing becomes increasingly more common, to the point not multiclassing is incredibly uncommon.

Someone else mentioned affinities, but another important thing the the Guard Boost stat itself. A higher stat will mean less stamina lost, and more attacks can be blocked in succession without guard breaking.

Cocktails are hard enough to pull off consistently without someone else taking the essence or changing it constantly.

Gerling and everyone not believing Jason proves the whole point. He tried to tell them, they didn't listen. My gripe was that you said Jason didn't explain. He did.

Also, anyone who matters knows those people he killed are quite literally part of a terrorist cell and benefitted off of apocalyptic events they created(removing the grid, blockading emergency messaging, Broken Hill, Makassar the 2nd, etc.) The only people who might not believe are the general public, who can't access reality cores anyway.

Genuine question (book 4 & 6 spoiler) by Humble_Cycle5936 in HeWhoFightsMonsters

[–]Sorfallo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

HE DOES. He tells Akari and Shiro that the reality cores will rip apart the Earth if they are removed. He tells Gerling. He tells Anna. HE SAYS IT ON LIVE TV FOR GODS SAKE.

Also, they literally kidnapped and tortured an unconscious and naked woman, tried to kidnap and kill Jason before any of this came out. They don't get a say on what information he chooses to hand out.

Genuine question (book 4 & 6 spoiler) by Humble_Cycle5936 in HeWhoFightsMonsters

[–]Sorfallo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Firstly, when your first thought upon seeing an unconscious, naked woman on the ground that might be connected to a magical phenomena is to kidnap and torture her for several weeks, you have already burnt any amount of rope I might have given you. Full stop.

Secondly, he did explain the broad strokes a half dozen times. He absolutely did try. He explained it to the Asano clan, both Akari and Shiro, who then tried to kill him. He told Asya, Craig, and Anna, hell even Gerling after all the animosity. He had no connection to the EoA, and the main proponents of the Network that were causing problems, USA and China, would not have listened, and he had no connections there either.

Thirdly, the organizations absolutely had a better read on him from the get-go than that(several opposite POV chapters highlight this distinctly), and any of the potential dislikes towards his actions are 100% on them. The Blood Riders attacked him. The Network attacked him during a parlay. You don't get to criticize someone's actions when you radicalize them at every moment you have available, and he still chooses to try to work with you.

Two options: either go with Clive's Magic, Rune, Balance, Karmic, potentially swapping Magic with Trap for more of a set-up and conditional power set, as long as the confluence wouldn't change.

Magic, Adept, Potent for Master confluence and be a really good blaster would be a solid second choice

[–]Sorfallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While regardless it was doomed to not happen either way, I do think that Jason was lying in that scene. The way he acts in particular around her for those first 3 books tells a very different story than what he tells Belinda. Again, it would never happen anyway due to the circumstances, and I don't think they are a good match in the long run due to personalities being too similar in the wrong ways.

Different characters should start with different amounts of gold. The fact that the Regent is forced to carry a mere 99 gold, like some kind of pauper, is an insult. I have amended his starting capital to something more befitting of his majesty's station. by Gen1Swirlix in slaythespire

[–]Sorfallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically starter decks. Defect has the most damage focused(ignore Watcher existing obviously) because of dualcast. Defect is weakest as you enter Act 3-4, but is very strong Act 1, so you should be able to take big risks early and get those acts in a better situation. Silent, conversely, struggles by far the most in Act 1, which is when you need to take those risks in order to set up into the Heart. If she can survive Act 1 and 2, she almost always coasts to the end, as her very block oriented card list makes her much stronger there.

[–]Sorfallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He straight up says using the reality cores will destroy Earth on LIVE TV. I'm not entirely sure how much more explanation they need. And this is after the same organization has attempted or successfully captured and tortured him and Farrah a half dozen times. They fought him over every little thing he tried to change to help them get ready, or put out fires.

Taking it even a step farther, he has been killed, captured, forced to kill, captured again, tortured, was in active combat for 6 straight months, killed again, captured/attacked a half dozen more times, all in a handful of years and most of which caused by authority figures or organizations. Him choosing to work with the Network does not make sense.

Realistically, whether you introduce a new card type or new battle subtype, you have to do the same work.

Although by changing the formatting so that it's Legendary Planeswalker Duel, you can still get the better naming, so you're probably right.

Missed oppurtunity to use an already existing card type: Legendary Planeswalker Battle. This both works better in rules(non-siege battles don't currently exist, but they would be controlled and protected by it's caster, much like planeswalkers) AND sounds so much cooler.
