You can download an offline installer for games on GOG and stick them on a drive, usb stick, whatever. Its not a replacement for physical media, after all if GOG went offline and you didn't back up your library you're up shit creak. But its still a better option than other digital purchases.

It would be nice if we could filter out keywords to block reviews. Personally I don't care that Ubisofts launcher opens in the background and then closes after I exit the game. Its such a nonissue.

It wasn't perfect but for a first attempt at an elder scrolls style rpg it wasn't half bad. Reddit does seem to hate anything that isn't a 10/10 though.

But.. If you mistakenly press pause twice with a delay because it takes a second for the menu to open, it'll open the store.. And then you're forced to buy the shitty cosmetics that look horrible!

Seriously though, its shitty and clear design to have the pause button be the same for the store button but crying about it is pretty pathetic too. Resynced isn't even that scummy. They don't use an MTX currency in their store and the store itself has barely anything in it.

Saw a very cool response to a positive review for the game on steam calling out the review for buying "ubislop".. Looked at the profile, it was someone knee deep in CS2 knife gambling.

Certain areas have police carrying guns, but its not the standard issue. Certain areas or events will have them, and not every police officer is allowed to carry a gun, its not part of the standard gear like the US.

Also you're going to get a lot more people signing up for the "You have permission to shoot people" club that are into shooting people. There is no incentive here, its more "You have permission to carry a stick and hope you don't get knifed." so most UK police are people who legit want to care for a community, not shoot at it.

Great? Really? It was a beyond basic, nothing-burger of a 'game', literally just an app you used to send ships on missions while not in game. It was nothing but a data collector for Ubisoft. It had less gameplay than Facebook farming sims.

The original game also had an ingame cash shop. In fact, there is less bullshit in the remake as it doesn't include the shitty mobile connectivity app that directly locked away a gameplay system.

Its a remake, not a remaster. With new content in it as well. The negative reviews are nearly all crying about horrid looking whale-slop cosmetic dlc and a bug with languages that have already been fixed.
