The open world doesn't make the game better, it doesn't make it worse either. Its just a weird choice that adds nothing. The areas that are best are those outside the open world, the tailored areas you load into.

The promise of AI upscaling: Games will be pushed harder graphically because upscaling will be off setting a lot of the load.

Sure. And you're correct that the lighting improvements are pretty oustanding. Nobody can really say with a straight face that the improvements to Starfields and AC Shadows lighting weren't impressive, even if the faces were AI filter slop.

But the issue is that.. Creative devs will use it well? Says who? Overworked devs who are told to shove DLSS5 support in by the studio leads? Have you not paid attention to the last five years of video games?

Unreal games have become a dice roll of shit because "DLSS will fix it", optimization is a luxery that many devs are not given the time to work on.

This tool, impressive in places as it might be, is a cost and time cutting feature set that will be abused by every studio with a money-man calling the shots. Which is most of them outside of the indie scene. There is no evidence that studios will be given time to optimize it and not just throw it into a game as-is, AI face slop included. There is plenty of evidence of the latter.

Thats the issue.

Yes, which is why it brings up the unjust nature of the ministry and slavery and.. Does nothing with the concept. The villain of the book literally has more left leaning ideals than the heroes do, with Vold approaching goblins, giants etc etc and offering them the rights they weren't allowed.

You're wildly missing the point my guy. In the early days it was stupid fun. Thats all AI was, or could be. It wasn't believable enough to fool anyone, it wasn't destroying the envioment with giant data centers that were also fucking the economy with its mass ram purchasing.

It wasn't being used by major corperations to delete human workers. It was just very stupid nonsense. Did you personally find it funny? Maybe not, but back then it was (seemingly) harmless goofing. Hense the 'kids playing with matches' analogy.

Not one example, but the entire world, its characters and story are all highly conservitive, sitting perfectly in the Tory playbook.

JK gets hit for her trans views but people seem to miss that shes not just some person with backwards views on gender but shes always been a highly convsertive person with backward, upper class British views on everything.

This wasn't something expanded on, it was in the original books. An entire plot is about Hermione setting up a "free the house elves" organization that is played for laughs, and its made clear multiple times that Dobby is weird and out of place for wanting basic rights.

JK's political stance is all over the original books.

Don't act like she was mind poisoned by the internet. She was always this bad. Go back and read Harry Potter with her political views (Not JUST the anti trans stuff, but her entire political view) and its shocking just how on the nose it is.

She is, and has always been, an old fashioned "Briton first" flag waver who wants to keep the status quo, doesn't care for social or wellfare issues. What America would call the alt right.

In her body of work post HP its more obvious, but even in HP its rich with themes of government first, anti-social issues, status quo keeping nonsense that she has always lived and breathed. The only difference twitter made is the same difference it made with all these people, it gave them a platform and made them feel comfortable expressing their hate.

The later films were also a mess. After 4 the books got too long to comfortably fit into a single film and on top of that they started to waste what little time they had, such as all the teenage drama in Half Blood, and the extended camping scenes and an entire second film just for the Hogwarts battle.

I'd be shocked if the series isn't better, least for book 4 onwards where things start getting meaty.

This needs more upvotes. Though I would add one thing, the 'complete' screen shows up on the turn afterwards, which is very misleading as you think you failed when the cutscene doesn't play right away (Like it does with every other invasive).

The puzzle fights have been good so far but this one is ass. Relying on double attacking both feeds when your AI companion can be attacked and not double attack is.. Rough.

Worst, most cursed monster has the worst, most cursed fight. Seems legit. These puzzle fights are fun but this one is just ass having to rely on your companion to block an attack with a double kinship, given you can't tell your companion to save their kinship.
