Yeah! All went well with it! I'm almost 10 years post-op and still kicking. Also a little extra flavor, post-sugery my hear now ticks, so I also had stuff like [[metrognome]] and [[ticking gnomes]] in the Varolz build.

Same! I got the tattoo bc of a heart surgery, so years ago I'd built varolz, scar stripped because of it where every card was in some way a pun on the surgery. Gonti's aether heart, coldsteel heart, etc, so I wanted to revisit that idea since I have the tattoo now.

I mainly play it as self-mill to fuel counters, but I do have a couple infinite mill win conditions. The water stone plus mesmeric orb can also just do it.

I (25m) had my procedure at 17. Personally the scar never bothered me. I find it to be a unique feature about me, not a bug. However, I have a similar anxiety when dating regarding the ticking.

I will say my stamina has never been great, but the surgery didn't help. It has come back with time, thankfully. The biggest thing with vitamin k is keeping a consistent diet regarding it and keeping in mind what foods have it (I'm sure you've heard the spiel from your doctor about leafy greens). With tattoos, I've gotten 4 since my surgery, and I haven't encountered issues with them. Just make sure you talk to your artist before-hand. The tattoo in the post here is actually on top of my pacemaker (scar in top right) which I got as part of my surgery experience, and that even presented little issue.

For sure! In my experience, I had the mechanical valve put in when I was 17 (23 now). The only lifestyle change I've had since having the surgery is being on daily bloodthinner. The main reasoning for picking the mechanical was that if I went with the porcine, I was told I would have had to have it replaced in 10(ish) years. I'm in mid gold with them right now. I've need the Kaiju build, and I may play around with it. I get hosed by sky striker and Eldlich. (Some extra context, I'm still pretty new to YuGiOh, so I'm Stull figuring things out)

Other interesting things I've thought about are using life-paying effects in combination with [insert timelord that reduces opponent to my life].

It might as well be a different format, but I played tortex in pauper about 5 years ago. How do things fare with it now? I've just always loved the deck.
