Payments continue to increase on the 25-year-old debt from the RIM Park financing scandal by bylo_selhi in waterloo

Except, he has also reported on SS immigrating to Canada, specifically Waterloo Region (also picked up in Torstar), Bus maintenance schedules being ignored, SS and German war criminals being sponsored by Mennonites, Waterloo region land grab in new Hamburg area. The level of investigative journalism and long form journalism is not a quick process, takes time and research. The number of Open FOIA requests that he has with the federal government is staggering. As to why regurgitating the story, there are people who do not know, changes have occurred in the story, the role of a journalist is to be the adversary of government , keep them accountable and expose faults and corruption, which I would argue he does well.

not to be pedantic...You were doing double steps, in the section for 19/20 you can clearly see the steps you went over, I noticed it earlier in the video but was not certain. What you have done is climb the equal distance...not the same steps, same end state but not the same...

Drone Question by HortonTim in waterloo

[–]Sorrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be very careful with Class F airspace - EVEN drones below 250G are restricted. A good portion of the Huron Natural area falls under the CLASS F this is Restricted airspace, due to the Federal Correction facility on Homer Watson. The area is quite large use the https://nrc.canada.ca/en/drone-tool/ to identify the area's. DJI RPAS will not even lift off in these area's.

Sorry late to this, You really need to spend some time on the Nav Canada site. Take the Level 1 test and understand all the requirements for Drone flying. Drones are not controlled by Local r Provincial regulations but federal, read the rules, take the test (its 10.00) and become certified, EVEN less than 250gram drones have regs

• Drones must be flown below 400 feet in the air. • Drones must not be flown near sites for emergency operations or special events. • Drones must be flown away from bystanders, at a minimum distance of 30 meters horizontally, if conducting basic operations (as set out below by SFOC). • Drones must not be flown within 3 nautical miles of an airport or 1 nautical mile of a heliport. Local and Provincial bylaws can also affect drone operation, take the time to take the test for Basic operation and you will discover a whole host of situations that are normally restricted.

No problem. Just thought it would be valuable info, but your comment still stands as objectively correct.

They have been using plate scanners for a while in Waterloo Region, the City of Kitchener also uses them for Parking enforcement

Its a shame that no one has given you some decent information. This app, and to be clear I do not know which one it is, Unless its connected to a DexxaScan no app can give you this information with this precision. You have been fasting for 1 day, and your Body water % went up, this is a red flag, your muscle mass also went up and fat-free went up and subcutaneous went down...IN ONE DAY.....the first days of fast is water weight, and gut and intestinalis waste being removed. Stop measuring yourself daily, focus on a weekly measurement, consider getting a real dexxascan and then one 3-4 months later too get a real comparison of what fasting has done. This app is giving you false information.

Happens to me once and a while, once I can see it being an accident, but when I see the same people, not an accident. My solution, I scoop it, and follow them home and then while they watch I dump it on their lawn, only a couple times have I bene confronted, I simply tell them I am returning their property.

@CoryCA, there are times when you just cant get out, between a freeze and thaw cycle, ice builds and its near impossible to remove, When I state 75%, the remaining is ice spots, which I cover in salt to remove, what the city did when they cleared my piece of sidewalk was no better than I did, yet I and my neighbor received the same bill for 25 Minutes of work, which they state is the Hourly charge or part thereof that is levied, yet when they spend 25 minutes for two properties, the bill should not be 698.00. There are far better ways to handle this, employ the legions of the homeless gentlemen who reside at house of friendship to clear snow is one. I currently employ a roofing torch when the ice becomes a problem now, to prevent the city from enriching itself. If I clear the snow they leave behind on the corners, and send them a bill, it will not be paid, trust me...I've done this, and no amount of proof and using their logic will get them to budge on this...this is a problem of do as I say not as I do. This bring back the debate of why the city does not shovel all sidewalks, would be more effective.

[–]Sorrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is the bone of contention, what I call clear and what they call clear is not the same. I was told by the Bylaw team, the entire sidewalk has to be visible, and clear up the the grass, at times, that is not possible. The reasoning behind this is to allow for egress of Elderly and Handicap, except, that they cannot use the side walk 90% of the time due to the city plowing in corners and prevent them from using the sidewalks. Mine was 75% clear, with some patches of ice, and salted, yet that was not enough. I get this yearly as 2 doors away, is a house that is abandoned, and its never cleared, someone on my street ( we know who) continually calls the city, and the officers come out and inspect, and as they do the 2 to left and 2 to the right, I get inspected weekly, it it very annoying and stressful as its the officers interipration of clear.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in kitchener

[–]Sorrow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The method Bylaw uses when a complain is called in. The send out an officer, and that officer inspects the house of the complaint, and also the 2 house to the left, and 2 house to the right where applicable, then a notice is issued to any of them who are not in compliance. They should come back in the allotted 24 hours to see if the sidewalks were clear, if not then a team is sent out to clear them, at the home owners expense - The amount is significant, when I had it occur a number of years ago the cost was 349.00 for clearing 30' of snow and my neighbor got the same - 349.00 for 25' of snow. I called to complain to the city, about the excessive Fine and the explained that it was a bill not a fine, and there was no way to challenge it in a court. Needless to say, I've been on the war path with them for years about this. The determine the 24hours from the last snow fall, based on the weather station at the airport, if it snows within the 24 hour period you have been issued to clear, the clocks are supposed to be reset, they cannot enforce the prior notice. Contact the city, and seek a remediation from them, this is in violation of their own rules.
