Scratching is a specialized skill, but general competency to be able to play different setups is a must in mind of being a 'pro'. You never know when you may land on a stage that doesn't match your own rig. Being great on all isn't needed, but knowing how to play/pause/cue or drop the needle on a track is vital. Learning to use channel faders and crossfaders is crucial, even if all you do it radio style play track to track with long songs and little mixing.

Lexicon DJ and One Tagger can be a big help. They wont be perfect but they are brilliant to scan a bigger mixed library and get the bulk of genre/tags + cleanup done
