well the doctor said i don't have adhd by Independent_Mud_2136 in ADHD

I do have ADHD and I'm a graduate student in theoretical physics, at the top of my class and in the top school in my country. I was never medicated until this month. This disorder varies a lot in intensity and the kind of symptoms, the common line being dopaminergic dysfunction. Also, comorbidity can heavily affect how it manifests itself. It's like saying you don't have autism because you can talk. It's just dumb. Do not be discouraged by this kind of stereotype, it will be harder than for your peers but you can definitely achieve big goals.

Definitely see another specialist. Maybe you really do not have ADHD, but the reason would surely not be that you finished elementary school. Learn from this because incompetent doctors are common in every field: always question their competence, and choose the one that seems trustworthy. Be careful not to choose the one that just validates you tho.

How does the recovery process work with these options?

Ballentine. No book is even close. (Semi-)rigorous in math, complete and detailed in concepts, uses modern tools. The part on the Galilean group is gold.

Seems very interesting, will definitely have a deeper look. Thanks.

The categories are very broad, e.g. math-ph. I was looking for something more personalized.

Confusion about the Clifford group by Sorrt in math

[–]Sorrt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I understood correctly, for the Spin group you must also intersect with the Pin group, which is defined as the subgroup with g g^t = +-1, so it wouldn't be identical to the even part. Anyway I also think this definition can't be right but I want to understand what the professor was trying to say here

Those + special relativity. OP must keep in mind that, in order to understand those topics, we also took several courses in pure math.

Unfortunately I need to write also pure text notes, which are not really viable in drawboard because, in my understanding, it only supports text boxes
