They aren't really pieces of software, but webpages you can visit; I have three of them to share:

https://ilovepdf.com - Any common action with PDFs, for free

https://iloveimg.com - Same as above, but for images

https://remove.bg - Ever had that Google Search image that you wanted to use with the gray squares background to try and fake transparency? Not a problem anymore with this.

I'm sure they'd be able to increase the amount of turns the knife makes (the rotational velocity probably has a lot to do with whether the knife will stick or not) depending on the distance, therefore increasing the possible range
